ready na ako bumili dati ng Gibson SG Special sa Guitar Center; as in dala ko na yung pera ko. i think $650 ata yung price nya. eto yung parang entry-level lang. ok naman mga reviews sa harmony-central e. naaalala ko, pinoy pa yung salesperson na nag-entertain saken. dinala pa nya ako sa isang room na puro high-end amps at mga custom fenders ang naka-display. may full stack pa ngang marshall e. tried the SG on a Mesa & a Vox AC30. na-badtrip lang ako dahil olats. dalawa yung na-try ko, same model, pero generally olats talaga yung gitara. cant blame it on the amps dahil libong dolyar ang mga presyo nila. well, may konti naman akong alam sa gitara at alam ko naman magtest(nyahahaha...). pero sobrang na-disappoint lang talaga ako nung araw na yun. panget yung tunog, ampanget pa ng construction nya. feeling ko nga kailangan ko pang lihain yung neck dahil magaspang talaga. alam ko naman kung gaano kagaganda yung SG standard or LP or ES. kilala ang gibson sa craftsmanship. pero ano na bang nangyayari sa gibson na mga "entry" or "low" -level na mga gitara?
eto ang nangyari saken:
1. hindi ko na binili yung gitara
2. tinest ko nalang yung gibson na double-neck (may pic ako nun eh. hindi ko lang mahanap.)
3. bumili nalang ako ng deluxe strat na 2nd-hand.
4. nangako ako sa sarili ko na bibili talaga ako ng SG; and i hope standard mabili ko sa susunod kung kakayanin ng budget.

meron akong weird na sg, dont know yung maker, pasa lang sakin in badd condition, medyo na repair ko na, setneck saya, ganda naman yung feel ng neck, may fretbuzz na rin, isang pick up nalang ang naka connect, nilipat ko sa bridge, 3 pickups, ang weird par eh, yung selector nya and knobs eh parang strat hahaha, 5 ways, anyway dami na nglait dun, pero may mystery sya saakin, hehehe, ayaw kong bitawan. tawag ko dun mutant sg, crossover ng strat and sg hehehehe. yung tone mukhang ok naman, konting ayos lang.

sir yung mutant sg ko may bigsby din, kaya lang talagang sira na as in yung base nalang , wala na yung tail piece, and im wondering how does bigsby works, may spring ba sya or somthing, kasi na ka fix yung base naya eh, salamat

I do not understand what you mean!! walang arm? anyway, yeah, may spring for the arm's downward (push) tension, and the strings provide its upward (pull) tension

As for the others, yeah, neck--heavy ang SG, pero na-offset ng Bigsby. hehe

Okay lang yan. Kasi the SG was first marketed as the new Les Paul. Nice guitar!

yep wala syang arm, ung base lang talag ng bigsby and i think it not even original, meron bang nabibili yung arm lang?

ayaw ni les paul yung sg kaya sinabi nyang palitan ung name... buti nalang kasi mas maganda ang sg kesa sa les paul custom..
