Hi All, I'm planning to change the Epi SG's stock Grover tuners. Nawawala sa tono kasi. What brand do you recommend na vintage tulip/keystone style? Saka may big improvements ba if 18:1 gear ratio ang tuners?

You sure it's the machine heads that have the issue? More often than not, it's the poor nut. Strings tend to bind at the slots making them unable to return to the initial state.

Hindi pa ba 18:1 yung Grovers na nasa Epi? Kasi yung mga vintage style ay 14:1 lang. Haven't seen an 18:1 na tulip tuner. Mas stable din yung sealed (Grover, Schaller, Gotoh) kumpara dun sa mga tulip Kluson.

Tama ka sir, baka nga makuha sa nut. The stock tuners are 14:1 based sa epiphone website.

i just love my SG to bits. the pickups on these are superb. like what most say about SGs, it's got that beefy humbucker sound without the muddiness. Can play it clean and when overdriven, whew!

BAGOHAN po ako dito! may tanong lang po sana ako

nagbabalak po kasi sana ako bumili ng "EPIPHONE SG Special w/ Killpot" yun lang po kasi yung abot ng price range ko estudyante pa lang po kasi ako

bago ko po sana bilin gusto ko lang po sana ng "heads up" tungkol sa guitar na yun.just anything po bad po or good sa guitar na yun

Hi, I only have the Epiphone SG G400, and my problem is the neck dive and getting out of tune

. Yung SG Special maple bolt-on ang neck kaya baka iba ang balance at baka mas minimal ang neck dive. Yung tuning was somehow solved by putting pencil lead on the nut slots, pampadulas. For the Neck dive, I inserted some counter weights sa loob ng POTs cavity. I can take pictures if you want to see.
