Just an update on my G400. May full pickguard na sya!
It took me a while to decide to do this, but since, epiphone did release a G400 with a full pickguard I gave it a go, knowing that this will be a permanent change in my G400.
Masakit at first to actually make holes on the body! but after I installed the pickguard it was well worth it! mas mabangis tignan hehehe...
If you didnt know, Gibson SG full pickguards do not fit G400... they just dont line up properly (both the modern and vintage styles) at lalabas yung ibang daitng screw holes of the small pickguard.
I happened to have a Gibson SG Standard replacement pickguard, I scanned it, trimmed the bottom to accommodate the G400 pickup selector, extended the right side of the pickguard a few mm so as to cover the old screw holes and had the pickguard made. The old screw holes are all hidden underneath the new pickguard! and also I designed the bridge holes to be bigger so theres no need to pull out the bridge posts (sa Gibson SG kasi the pickguard sits under the bridge posts), talagang designed to just drop in to the G400 without any hassles.
