i'm chard. just want to ask for some help. i'm a student who makes films and i'm hoping i could be able to use a song (brian hyland's sealed with a kiss) in my work, and of course i do understand the intellectual property rights law and i don't want to get sued for using it without permission. actually i'll use it for academic purposes. the album that i have is brian hyland's greatest hits under MCA Records. is it right that if the song is foreign, i shall get permission on its local counterpart? would you know any contact information of MCA Pilipinas? is it hopeless that they will lend the song for free since i'm just a student (with no budget) and will just use it for academic intentions?
