Eto po yung ginawa ko nung 2008. Demo po ito ng banda ko. Sa laptop ko lang po ito record. Puro daya po ito dahil wala pa pambili ng magandang gamet.

Guitar, Acoustic at Bass ay dumaan sa AX1500G ko na fx at ginamit yung AMP simulator tapos pumasok sa MIC in ng Laptop. Yung drums po ay peke using Yamaha na keyboard (mano mano pindut sa piano tapos patong patong) tapos rekta sa laptop. Yung boses po ay nirecord using USB MIC tapos software compressor tapos dinaya din using softwares like waves.

paulit ulit lang sha na riff na di ko pa magawang kanta....recorded with a yamaha ry20 direct sa tascam input. the recorded the acoustic and guitar amp using the tascam's built in condenser mics. background noise and all! backmasked parts edited sa computer. final mixdown on the tascam.

should i get a preamp or something?

A few tips on recording vocals...

Compress to even out peaks.
Roll off low as possible without compromising the quality.
(muddiness are results of too much low)

Here are the EQs targets of most common voice:
Fullness - 120Hz
Boomness - 240Hz
Nasal - 2K
Presense - 5k
Simbilance - 7k
Air - 12k

Dont send too much bass on reverbs. This results to mudiness.
EQ before reverb.
Compress after EQ.

This may help also:
Roll out below 100hz and above 15khz
Add 2 to 4db on 160hz - male, 320hz - female
Notch out 500 - 800hz
add a little for sparkle on 7 - 8khz.
