Kung sakop kami ng isang major label yung recording company ang mawawalan. daming indie bands na nakapagproduce ng album without the help of those big guns kahit alam nilang may possibilties na mapirata ito. minsan nga no royalty pa sa majors.

Hindi valid example mo bro kasi after mo ma-install ang legit na Windows 7 sa PC mo, di na ulit magagamit yung registration key sa ibang PC. That's the only right you have -- to install it to one PC be it yours or not UNLESS you paid for 3 licenses in that one DVD installer (aka volume licensing pero at 7k sa example mo siguradong 1 license lang yan).

Basically the "rights" you're pertaining to is LIMITED and does not include to share it for FREE. Ang PIRATED is pag pinahiram mo installer mo at ni-crack ng friend mo (coz that's the only way he can install it sa PC nya).

I do totally understand where you're coming from but the argument that nobody will make software anymore doesn't really hold true. It's much like how artists try to "scare" the public how people who get pirated won't make music anymore or something. At the end of the day, there are people who make music just because they love playing and making music. Much the same with programmers who make programs for the love of it (like those who release free programs that they make for the heck of it and some are even better than those for sale!).

You don’t need “opinions” to understand piracy. There’s a defined and imposed anti-piracy law you can read. Kahit ikaw pa ang pinakamayaman o pinakamahirap walang pinipili ang batas.

Lastly, when you purchase a software you DO NOT have the freedom to JUST SHARE it. License pinag-uusapan dito. Pag bumili ka ng baril binabayaran mo din license tama? At may requirements bago ka bigyan ng license. Ngayon di mo pwede ipahiram sa kaibigan mo ang baril kasi pag nakapatay kaibigan mo pati ikaw dawit kasi baril mo yun at wala syang right at license para sa baril na yun. At di mo pwedeng i-rason na LOWER MIDDLE CLASS lang kaibigan mo at walang pambili ng baril kaya ni-SHARE mo na lang.

Piracy "sharing" has no connection with classes and it doesn't make it valid if someone's on the lower end of the scale.

Sorry wrong again. There's a certain extent bago maging illegal ang P2P transactions. For example, may biniling sapatos sayo yung friend kaso di kasya sayo so ibebenta mo sya ngayon. Di pa illegal yun.

Ayan, aside from anti-piracy laws, dagdag mo na din sa research pertinent laws on illegal businesses tsaka anti-smuggling.

e kung makukulong mga pulis e sino na ang huhuli sa mga pirata at mga fans nito? 

kung binaba lang ang originals lets say windows 7 from richie rich 5k down to 500php kahit yung pirata e 100php or less pa dun na ako sa orig. grabe naman kasing presyo yan. yung dapat napunta na lang sa basic needs sa bahay napunta pa sa OS lang.

Pag nag-crash you can re-install and use the same registration key. Kung walang kasamang registration key nung binili mo (pre-installed) you can go to the store from where you bought it and ask for re-installation. It should be for free because you already bought that license.

sana kinuha mo ang original W7 installer ng laptop mo which is sayo talaga yon. kasama sa presyo ng rig mo ng binili mo sya then may naka dikit na cd key at the back of your laptop which is gagamitin mo pag nag reformat ka ng laptop mo kung mag bugdown man ang OS mo.

when i bought my lappy at acer it has an license  windows 7 cd installer and an accesories in it and it has a windows licence sticker too.

piracy is wrong no matter which angle you look from. no amount of people committing it can make it right. if a person is fine with his or her intellectual property being pirated, that's his or her prerogative. but it still doesn't make things right. otherwise, all these download and file sharing sites (p2p or otherwise) would openly admit to it without fear of legal or in some cases, even moral impunity. even the pirate bay needs to be clever to deal with the issue and with the safety net incidentally provided by Swedish copyright laws. but behind the defiant bravado, they know full well that it would be a different story if torrent sites such as theirs actually have pirated software stored in in-house servers available for download to their users.

But kelangan din sanang madinig ng SOFTWARE Companies at mga mambabatas na mag implement ng batas na pababain naman yung presyo ng mga softwares like windows kasi OS yan e tsaka standards yan ng karamihan for compatibilty.

Naalala ko lang yung comment ng isang editor in chief ng isang tabloid.  Binili niya yung FHM magazine so he has rights on the pictures on the magazine.  He posted those pictures on his tabloid.  Nakakatawa.

Not sales, but protection of copyright. Reprints require permission from the original owner or else the tabloid is liable for violation of copyright laws and can be sued outright esp. if it can be proven that the tabloid's sales increased as a direct result of the FHM pics.
