Need opinions: SM57 vs AT2020

kung sa rental tapos for vocals mas maganda pa din ba yun AT2020?

may nakita ako JTS brand, may hanging sila nasa 3,700 may isang model may built-in stand na tapos napapalitan yun head ata nasa 14k each. ok ba yun?

pag rental kase sir kadalasan rehearsals lang naman so ok na yung mga PG mics.

SM57 goes for 5k sa MRM

The PG58 doesn't sound too bad, huh - mas hot pa nga yung output niya, tama kayo. Pansin ko nga rin with my particular SM58, siya yung pinaka-least gain ouput sa mga dynamics ko, siya nga yung pinaka-"bingi", but it appears na siya rin yung pinaka-pleasantly warm at maganda ang "kalat" or frequency spread sa kanila, comparing it to an Electro-Voice ND767a and an Audix OM3xb at SM57. May binabagayan ding boses, I'm sure.

(baka may ganoon general trade-off rin ang certain mic designs pagdating sa gain vs. sweetness. basing it on Audix OM7 literature, meron silang design na mas low gain nga rin than usual, pero kapag inangat mo naman raw sa mixer side mo, mas pleasant rin daw overall yung frequency response sa highs and lows.)

Anyway, I wonder how the SM48 compares to both SM58 and PG58?

mas tame baga yung SM58. mas nag cut nga sa mix yung PG58. pero nauuna din mag distort yung PG58.

mag ingat kayo meron din FAKE NA SHURE PG MICS. ive used a PG48 once in an opening speech and it sounded out right horrible. japeyks yung laman.

i have both.... i use at2020 for vox, 2 thumbs up!! and the sm57 for micing the amp... two thumbs up din!!

Nagconcert last month ang Phil Madrigal Singers sa Iloilo. Gulat ako SM57 gamit nilang mic!!! Post ako ng pics next time!!! Kaya para sa akin, SM57 na!!!

maganda yung directionality ng sm57 thats why a number of sm57s can be used in a choir and mixed to create a good stereo sound.

i already bought a shure sm58 which should sound like an sm57 when the ball grille removed. i shall try and source out a cheaper AT2020 pag nagkataon.

long ago baguhan pa lang ako nakabili ako ng shure beta58 at P600. ayun after a month ginawa ko na pampukol ng mga asong gala.
