get an sd2. hi gain dist, with the balls of an overdrive. siguro dapat hindi metal pedal eh. metal pedals tend to replicate the tone of recorded tracks. remember, if you're gonna play in a band setting, you have to cut thru. using a metal pedal will only drown you as far as i know.. and if you're gonna mix it to cut thru, its tone ain't usable for lead/solos. manipis na. get a distortion (with balls of course) instead. yung humihingang dist, at hindi compressed gaano. hi gain nga, pero hindi metal. iba ang naririnig mong tunog sa bandang tumutugtog kesa sa gitaristang nag ssoundcheck pa lang. kung pagbabasehan mo yung tone na nagagawa ng bandang tumutugtog, talo ka dun. yung tunog na yun, pinaghalong bigat ng banat ng bass, drums at ng gitara. anyway.. yun lang. get a high gain dist na may balls. yun lang. sd2 na yun (lead channel - hindi na nga to overdrive eh kung tutuusin.)

+1 parekoy

:) I achived a good metal tone with this:

To Warm Up The Sound      Main Distortion      To Boost Up for Tighter Sound   Equalize
Guitar    ->   MXR DynaComp     ->    DS-100/HM-100         ->        OD-100        ->        EQ-100    ->  AMP
You may say I\'m a dreamer. But I\'m not the only one. I know someday you\'ll join us and the world will live as one...

Pano yung tunog ng Slipknot masters? Parang ang hirap kopyahin eh?

mga filipino mahilig manggaya no?
peace bro!

Baka wala sa pedal ng Slipknot yung 100% tone nila, maybe its in the amp also.
So bili ka ng amp na katulad sa kanila or be unique na lang. Try your own tone.

Knowledge is Power man. Sa mga noobs na gaya ko , understanding how a band came up with its tone is heaven on earth.

Peace Guitar God!

Pero super Informative ang nangyari sa thread nato ah.

Meron din nag sabi na Equalizer before MT2 and the likes then Equalizer then after gives a super kapal na chuva chuva tone. Di ko lang maimagine ang magiging settings nung pre-MT2 na equalizer pero sa Post-MT2 naiimagine ko boosted lows and semi-boosted highs, with mids down well.

Any experience with this Guitar Gods?

Since its my favorite!

Turi, na try ko na ung TZ, and oh my god, it turned the clean channel of a fender fm15 into a monster. AMAZING!

But im getting an MXR Ten-band to add to my arsenal, the Tube zone isnt for me.

MI Audio Crunch Box din, damn bro (Andrei aka Soryano) This Red Thing is AMAZING!

try this video bout the demonizer. although d ko nagustuhan ung pagka-review. this should give you an "impression".

http://www.gearwire.com/damage-control-demonizer.html

opinion lang, mukhang mahirap makahanap ng isang metal pedal that will make you contented with the sound you're getting from it (alone).
tulad nung ibang suggestions dito, may mga combination ng pedals that can give you what you're looking for....... tiyaga lang sa paghanap.
but on the other hand, if you're looking for a "practical" metal pedal, choose one with an eq dial on it or something.

Hmmm... maybe for Doom metal sound coupled with an Equalizer or another OD will get you that really BIG sound but not that chuggy type Pantera stuff IMHO. I was usingmy Russina Muff before for Heavy Grunge stuff though... Try that Metal Muff the other guy suggested. Sounds really cool!

tama si Mr.Carabao.. ok na para sakin Metal Zone, pero even overdrive pedals can make you sound metal.. ngayun naka ax30g na ko.. ginagamit ko dun yung overdrives nila nde yung heavy distortion.. Jon Donais of Shadows Fall uses his ax30g's overdrive (different setting) as well as his main crunch.. boosted lang ng OD pag solo mode..

Shameless plug again.

A Bakemono Metalzone is the one. Large chug sound, has a MegaTubescreamer mode, has variable clipping stage (via the Warp knob) which allows you to change the fullness or fizziness of the distortion, Pre-Bass control (allows you to tighten the sound if the bass is too flabby), goes from clean to full metal using your electric guitar's volume control, and when you twiddle with all of them (including the 3-band parametric equalizer), will allow you to get or approximate the tone of many dirtboxes in the market. I had fun making a Metalzone sound like a TS808 with mid-hump. Yes, it's true and it's possible.
