agree! andaming magagandang freeware apps sa Mac, and sa point of view ko kung isang tao di marunong magcomputer at turuan mong gumamit ng Mac at Windows mas mauuna nyang maiintindihan gamitin ang Mac..

Very easy. At isa pa, patented halos lahat ng UI ng mac. For example you taskbar sa itaas. Lahat ng app db ang taskbar nasa taas? like ung file, edit, etc. All because steve jobs figured that that kind of interface increases the endurance and accuracy of activating the action.

Yep! kaya malaking inspiration sakin ang design technique ng Mac kasi User Interface Designer ako, lalo na ngayon ang isa sa project na hawak namin eh "Mobile Applications" well mas nababato na ako gumamit ng windows..

parang ganun na nga.. dalawang Usability Analyst ang kasama ko.. ang approach ng team namin eh "user goal oriented" approach.. ang design methodology kasi ng apple eh hindi sa "task" kundi sa "goal" ng users.. kumbaga maririndi yung user pag binigyan mo sya ng masyadong maraming options sa task nya.. so yung goal nya dapat ang iisipin.. the fastest, easiest and best way to achieve user goal..

Apple lang kasi ang company na "designers" ang nauuna sa product development lifecycle bago developers.. sa ibang kumpanya kaya failed halos ang UI ng products nila kasi nasa huli ang designers..

kumbaga nagpagawa ka ng building.. nauna ka lumapit sa Engineer.. hinuli mo architect..

tama! pag nagconcentrate ka kasi sa goals ng user maeeliminate ang complexity ng process flow..

sa UI kasi ang parating iisipin is yung pinakamadaling paraan na manavigate ang UI at magaling ang Apple dun.. madaling gamitin.. angganda pa ng process flow..

walang sinoman na nagkaron ng iPhone ang tumingin sa user manual.. siguro tiningnan nila out of curiosity.. hehehe (parang di nga manual yun eh)

IT. Incoming 4th.. Katatapos ko lang ng HCI subject ko sa I know a little about the relationship between users and the UI. Sa class namin madalas mac ang example. Perfect example kasi talaga ang mac.

ayus! which is why Mac is the best example on "user experience" kasi ina-apply nila ang human psychology sa mga produkto nila.. ang mac "ginugusto" ng tao.

ang windows binibili ng consumers kasi "kailangan nilang gamitin"
ang mac binibili ng consumers kasi "GUSTO NILANG GAMITIN"

di lang basta "necessity" ang Mac..

still debating with myself about the iPhone.

i talked to a person in Globe telecom and she said that i may have a bigger discount if i purchase an iPhone since my Globe postpaid is already like 4 years. but i would have to talk with customer service to assess my loyalty level (whatever that is).

A little wait may be worth bro, 2 months from now is the Apple WWDC, the probability of Apple releasing a new iPhone model is so high current owners are saving up (including me).

Globe maybe is cramming to sell their stored iPhone 3G's so that they can reload their stock (I wish) with the new model coming June 2009.. I bet it will be worldwide release by July.

iPhone 2G and 3Gs prices will surely drop by end of year if the new model will prove to be again "revolutionary"

Since 2006 paggamit ko ng macbook di na ako nag windows...

Now I have Macbook 2.4Ghz, 2G ram and 250 HD (aluminum)..
Pero talo ako ng wife ko naka 4G Ram.

Bro kung may kakilala kang may Mac try to use it.. lahat ng preferences mo sa isang PC eh try mo yung Mac version and then decide, meron din kasi na galing sa windows na nag Mac tapos after a while bumalik din sa windows..

its a matter of preference lang.

in my case tulad nga ng sabi ko eh designer ako kaya I prefer a mac and syempre reference and inspiration ko ang design methodology ng Apple.
