@Champz i'll answer your PM question here in the thread so we could share it to other.
Regarding global volume loudness i'm afraid there is not other global setting, you could only set the patch volume individually. But i got one technique say you record a clean volume on patch one with phrase loop then play it, use the dial now to call other patch and set the loudness by comparing it.

Regarding AUDACITY you should set first the playback and recording preference.
In audacity select EDIT menu, choose preference, select playback device -GT10 and recording device-GT10 channel stereo and check the box  Play other tracks while recording new one.

After recording you can export it to MP3 format but first you need to download LADSPA plugin for you to convert it to MP3, it's one time installation, here: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/windows

Enjoy it,
Roger

ayun sa EDIT menu pala.. hehe.. bat di ko naisip un  :lol: tama sir iopen nyo ulit tong thread na to para sa ating mga GT users.. may maglalabas daw ng instructional DVD for GT10 dun sa central ah bibili ba kayo nun sir? Ako bibili siguro langan eh hirap umasa sa manual  :lol: thanks sana may magshare ng mga satriani at vai at petrucci patch dito..  :lol:
God bless!

Ok, marami na rin lang tayong nga owner let's have this thread open again kung gusto nyo lang naman.

HARMONIC CONVERGER gadget is one famous in FIZZ combat according to many reviews and here's one:
http://www.nargalzius.com/blog/archives/2007/06/2007_06_01_1017AM.php

Unfortunately very expensive and they don't ship abroad now just with in US na lng.
But I got a tip from GT brilliance on how to mimic HC and using Equalizer, here I took a picture of HC mimic I set up on my GT display mode

EQ panel
Low Cut 55hz
Low Gain 0db
Lo mid F 4.00khz
Lo mid Q 8
Lo mid G +1db
Hi mid F 8.00 khz
Hi mid Q -11db neg
Hi gain +20db
Hi cut 4.00khz
Level +1db

Try it you'll see the benefit  :-)

Roger

Sir roger saan part ng chain nakalagay yung eq? Would love to try that tip ASAP  :-D

Share ko lang din sa mga ka-gt10, may katropa kasi ako who owns a pro audio rentals and he has four amplifiers na nagagamit ko sa house nya. Ang usual ko kasi na gamit sa church is a marshall MG50DFX, kakalinis lang ng pots nya (so di dito ang problem) but still di ko gusto ang midrange response ng GT10 sa kanya, maski i-cut ko yung mid nya ibang freq ang tinatamaan. even with the preamp bypassed (rekta sa poweramp in or FX return) medyo mailong pa rin ang tunog (by the way, my guitar is equiped with PAF pro on the neck and evo on bridge) and my friend suggested that I try a different speaker.

Na-try ko yung GT10 sa dalawang amp nung katropa ko, a fender hot rod deville and a fender frontman 2x12 100w. I get great clean and overdrive sounds with EQ's at (H,M,L) 4,7,7 and na-imress yung ka tropa ko (pina break-in nya kasi sa akin yung amp and brought it to church  :-D) at sa aking palagay ay pwede nang itabi yung tone nung preset sa mesa boogie maverick nya na madumi ang pots  :-D (na-test ko rin kasi but not with the GT10).

sir roger musta, tanong ko lang if may mali ba sa set up na ginawa ko. sonic stomp pinasok ko sa effects loop ng gt 10, S/R set as last effect in the chain. problem is pagnerecord ko yung sound sa adobe audition i cant get the sound of the bbe going. ive tried switching on and of during the recording pero nung nakaplay na i cant hear any difference sa sound. may nakaligtaan ba ako sa set up? help naman sir.

salamats

Inkslingerx hi, correct but be sure dgt (digital)module is the last before S/R.
also check the following on GT:
Be sure the S/R is ON
adjust the SEND/RETURN level of GT s/r ICON
Switch Send/Return Mode=DIRECT MIX on s/r ICON
You may adjust USB/DGT out level and USB mix level see page 63 of manual.

Guys, if you can get BBE Sonic Maximizer would be great. Pedal is mono but if you can get a rack version it's a stereo. This thing really is a cool stuff specially for multiFX, it helps a lot for GT10 :mrgreen:
See this guy using it with GNX multifx
Here:

I bought pedal a mono from a member here.

Enjoy,
Roger

Sir, pa copy naman ha..... $38 dollar wala na me savings....I think J3yps could help us all here. Off the record ha baka magalit si MTRCB, say he first buy the DVD and reproduce and sell it locally for as much as 500. Kc 150 would cost him the LBC and 350 would be his profit mas maraming bibili sa kanya. What can  you say sir j3yps, para sa pinoy para sa bayan ko. :-D

Great tip and sharing sir.
on EQ as is the default in your chain, it's immediately after both COSM preamp. But remember this EQ setting was to combat the FIZZ of COSM preamp. You may want to add another PAR EQ using FX2 after the said EQ but should be slight on high setting just to compensate kc it would cancel out the EQ mimic if you know what i mean. Me I just use TONE MODIFIER effects nlang after EQ mimic but it's up to the user maganda rin another EQ for more control.

Man, we're all blessed we got a GT10 some can't and some can afford but not destined to have one. Lord thanks.

Enjoy,
Roger

Lo-mid-Q = 8
Lo-mid-G  = +2db
Hi-mid-F = 8.00khz
Hi-mid-Q = 4
Hi-mid-G = -11db
High Gain = +13db
High cut = 4khz
Level = +1db

Ok for us pinoy with GT10 bright light complain
Here's my solution
Easy slide detachable diffuser (DIY)

Actual size

Top View

Side View

GT OFF

GT ON

 The material is just a waste frosted plastic bottle
Tools-simple knife or blade, ruler and blue painter tape

This is the slide lock that will lock in under the pedal

Test to see it slide smoothly and hold the diffuser firmly

Note: before bending the plastic make a swallow slit using blade on material so as to help bending straight and not to crack the materials, the rest of it use you imagination

Thanks,

Nawala yung matinis na alingawngaw and naging full yung tunog. I'll record my metal preset later and post it here. Thanks po ulit!

@ Pizzaro84
Me too, gamit ko sya as FIZZ WALL after HIGH GAIN COSM preamp in chain. Nawawala yon DIGITAL HARSH then follow some TONE MODIFY or another Post EQ if you're still looking for some tone. In Clean tone I don't need to use it.

@Champz
Yes yon PSP clear protective tape help to protect the blue screen.
Well sa recording specially high gain stuff set it lower but if you really need to set more gain and highs HC eq might help too. Try HC eq as Pizzaro and I has proved useful. Use different CAB sim and experiment on mic sim setting number and DIRECT LEVEL you'll find this useful and smooth out the COSM preamp malambot na sya pakingan kahit HIGH GAIN sya. Give us feedback.

Hi Inksligerx,
Glad to hear that. You can use that same chain setting and this one also a tip, may MP3 discman ako and I burned my backtrack disc ko, pag ginagamit ni misis computer gusto ko mag practice I use S/R. Plug in ko discman sa GT RETURN lang and set S/R RETURN to more volume say 150-180 and set to Direct Mix, Goto fx chain icon and place or move S/R after both COSM preamp and Noisegates and eq co'z this would affect the backtrack sound. Place it then before modulation or after modulation which ever suit your backtrack sound. Mine I placed it the same S/R>DGT>AMP  Presto  Use your headphone off to your practice kahit gabing gabi na  :lol:

RockON,
Roger

FX1 AUTO On and OFF

Guys,
Probably many already know how this works, but just share to those not yet.

Select any FX that you want or try first the T-WAH. Put it in your FX1
Press MasterPdlFx and select Assign press display view by list
Target = FX1
on/off
Min = off
Max = on
Source=Wave pedal
SrcMode= Toggle
ActRngLo=0
ActRngHi=127
WaveRate=50
WaveForm=Sine
Press MasterPdlFx again to switch ON
Press Write

Try that WITH YOUR SOLO it will auto switch to T-wah and normal back and forth. You may experiment and make use of it later for other application just be constructive.

@ Inksligerx
Set up Guitar>GT cosm preamp with headphone in> USB to computer. No physical AMP.
May Latency pag nag monitor ka sa PC just set preference playback device and recording device both to GT10 on Audacity and be sure to check mark play other track while recording new one. Try headphone in sa GT10 you'll hear both the Backtrack and your GT sound without latency. After final recording save to mp3 disconnect now the GT10 and play the saved Mp3 at any media player on your PC speaker.

Use Cab sim and Mic sim and direct level on GT, experiment different setting on cab and mic and direct level parameter it will help a lot.

@ Champz
  "di ba kung straight sa pc nya lang nirecord to dapat ung sound quality same lang din pagnasa atin na kasi sa pc lang din naman gagamitin di ba? Tama po ba?"
As long as you use the same set up and equipment as he did. Some uses their AMP line out going to sound card no USB. But if he use the same set up like yours it should be on the ballpark and remember guitar position and pick up type may deviate somehow.

@champz
sir if you can get hold of adobe audition mas ok sa recording ang software na yun, as is yung sound pag nerecord mo. significant yung change in tone pag compare mo sa nerecord gamit audacity..IMHO :mrgreen:

 isa pa nag papabagal din yata sa process ng PC pag ginagamit mo pa yung soundcard nya.. use nalang GT10 sa a soundcard instead.
