Post by: Bart on January 22, 2006, 08:59:51 AM: We had fun today. Una kaming nagkita ni Phil sa isang Filipino restaurant sa North Hollywood. Tapos at 1050 we have proceeded to Sound Arena Studios. There we've met up with Dan (aka stratman1) and Jo, Dan's drummer/bassist friend. We jammed from 11-1 pm. These guys were so awesome yet so down to earth. Bitin na bitin tuloy kami dahil 2 hours lang ang slot eh nag-eenjoy pa naman kami. Sarap kasama ng mga to, hagalpakan ng tawanan. Here are some pics:

BTW...thanks to Julius for drums.

Dan and Bart...super cool guys....next jam pare.....kailangan mga 3 hours para we can REALLY check out each others gear. :lol:

I agree, 3 hours jam next time so we can go through each others gear. Let's set something up soon. Next time I'll record the audio.

That,s true. It seems like we all have the samr thing in mind with impropmtu music. Everybody caught up very well.

yeah.....we should get in touch like maybe spring na naman....and work out some songs that we can jam.....although I like the impromptu jams as well....trains your ears and your musical instincts. :wink:

Dan about that Keeley DS-1....I still think it's kindda noisy.....although I love the controllable feedback you can get from it.....would an overdrive pedal be less noisy than an overdrive pedal?

Kung mapapadaan ka dito sa SO CAL, paalaman mo kami at mag se-set tayo ng EB. Kahit hindi jam. Hang-out lang. Pero masmasaya ang jam eb.

PHil... I never get any noise problem with my DS-1. Did you run it through your clean or dirty channel. I usually run it thorugh clean channel. It's got enough gain to get that Marshall modded sound. If your looking for a pedal to run through your dirty channel than you will need an OD pedal. More like a booster but with more gain. Kinda like BOSS OD-1 (discontinued and expensive if you find one), Ibanez TS-9 or TS-808, or any tube driver pedals. Not distortion but overdrive. A lot of people will give you their opinion of what works best. Just go ahead and listen by yourself. At the end of the day it's your gear and if it sounds right to your ear than it works. :wink:

AYUN!!!! I was running it to my dirty channel to boost the gain.......sa clean pala.....well next jam..I'll try it in the clean pero it will conflict sa purpose ko...I love the dirty channel of the Legacy ...sometimes I just need a bit of gain to give me those hard to find harmonics and feedback. BTW....yung JEM for sale or trade...(looking for a nice tele or strat (preferably maple fretboard- mij/cij/or mia)na pare parehong presyo sa JEM555)...please spread the word. :D

Windows Media Player, latest version. Talaga? Tested those before I gave it to you guys, gumana naman. Baka may codec ka na kulang. I-update mo kaya ang player mo.

OIC... Yeah... just go for a OD type pedal to get that extra gain and controled feedback in your dirty channel. They shouldn't be expensive either, I don't think. Markflo has that nice Valveboy with a real tube inside. You might want to look at those tube pedals out, ,too. I'm partial to BOSS pedals but other pedals will work as well. Just listen to them and you will know when it's the right one.

Midi switching is also a big plus for me. The only thing is that it doesn't have any reverb like the other Carvin amps. If I don't have my recti-fryer I would really go and get one right now. Just don't have a reason to buy another amp that would do almost the same thing. I might be interested in the combo version. HHmmm... Maybe I should sell my recti and get this one. Might get some cash out of it at the same time. HHhmmm. :-k I'm telling you, you better try it out one of these days. Audio clip through pc is one thing. Feeling the air coming out of the cab is a whole totally different expirience.

I know...I just don't want to go there na walang bala yung wallet ko.....tulo lang laway ko....don't like that feeling. :wink:

Bart... both cds work. I like the pdf files. Will be really helpful. Thanks man. If you guys have any other instructional videos or literatures make me a copy. I'll dig up my old instructional vhs videos here and transffer them to dvds. I think I have Frank Gamble here somewhere. I'll let you guys know.
