Mga sir, konting tulong naman po.

I'm trying to record bass on my laptop and so far, it's quite a success. I've plugged my ZOOM B3 to a laptop using LE III Sequel software. Now, I want to record video while recording audio but the problem is I don't know how to sync the video (using a phone) and the audio (from the laptop). Neither do I have an amplifier to make my life simpler.

How do I go about this dilemma? I'm no tech savvy so please bear with my ignorance on the matter and your answers will be very much appreciated.

Thanks!!!

Try sony vegas :)
Just record your audio in your DAW, then export it, on vegas you can just drag the file/s to the software and sync it just by dragging :)

Question.

So Im using Sonar 8 on an I3 laptop with 2gb of RAM.
At naghahang while playing/recording.

I saw the CPU meter, yung 1st core, na uutilize to 40%
2nd core, up to 20% but the 3rd and 4th naka 0% and yung RAM naman doesnt go up to 20%.

Ano kayang issue ng laptop ko? I was thinking of grabbing a new set of RAMS but im not sure if yun nga ang issue.

Need help:(

Try Sub tracks/ submixing...
You can put the effects on your submix instead of putting it on each track :)

---------------------------------------

Ok, sinubukan ko sa mas lower spec'd laptop with the same OS( win 7 64 bit) and same version of reaper, at gumana siya ng maayos... Weird, both are using built in realtek  sound cards, ano kaya problema.

Check your settings sa audio interface kung naka enable young enhancements like noise cancellation :)

Your laptop's specs should be adequate for a normal usage, although upgrading to 4 GB RAM should give you performance gains and solve usual latency problem.

Check your disk drive for free space and fragmentation issues. What audio interface are you using? Installing the latest drivers would also help.

RAM upgrade Sir 4GB percore as long as you stick with 64bit system may option ka up to 12GB masyadong mababa ang 2GB

Just want to revive this thread as I recently got interested in the idea of "silent band practice" with home recording capability.
I want to research, check gear reviews and ask people's opinions on my idea before executing it completely.

Here is the setup:
4 piece band - 2 guitars, 1 bass guitar, 1 electronic drum kit, 3 dynamic mics
All go into a Behringer Xenyx Q1202FX mixer
I'll use a Behringer HA400 to amplify our headphones since it's a silent band practice

I don't have any recording experience and as far as what I've read so far the mixer I chose will only record 1 stereo track (need your opinion on the pros and cons of this) I also want to use the Behringer UCA222 as my soundcard but I'm not sure as to what software to use for recording. As much as possible I want it to be free since I'm just experimenting and maybe later if it proved fruitful then maybe I can take it seriously.

Hope the more experienced/experts can shed some light here. Thanks!

Hello! magtatanong po sana ako ulit. Mayroon na kong audio interface... Scarlett 2i2... Thank you!

@jellybean

Yep marerecord mo lahat yun in one track, cons? Limited ang mixing mo, coz you cant throw eq and compression per track, pero mixing a whole track to sound decent is doable kung personal demos lang. DAW of choice is reaper, its a beast and its free.

@Gineanne

Paanong popping sound? Check mo siguro yung gain mo baka nagclip, or asio4all settings, experiment mo.

i'm really new to recording and yesterday I tried Reaper. Problem is the monitoring latency is so bad I couldn't even get a decent recording unless I switch off monitor and just listen to me guitar play acoustically

three, hindi "solid" yung makukuha mong tunog kung galling micro terror out dahil wala naming cab simulation yung micro terror headphone out. mas okay pa kung I attach to speaker mo si micro terror, then mic the speakers. then again, just use a Guitar Effects and Amplifier VST.

What ralph said.

Isa pa hindi talaga ok gamitin ang mic input or "built in soundcard" for recording kasi lagi ka lang magkakaissue.

Thanks mga master! Hintayin ko na lang siguro yun U-Phoria UM2.
Nagtataka lang ako, when I first tried na direct to mic input from headphones out ng MT gumana sya sa waveout, pero sa Asio4all hindi.
Last night I tried the same setup, pero both hindi na gumagana, mukhang may sira yun laptop ko

kailangan mo parin I configure yung asio4all paps. may ON/OFF switches/buttons yun para maroute kung aling input ang gagamitin ni asio. tapos route asio as your In/out source sa DAW mo.

Even with Asio4All, there will still be some delay. From memory i think the lowest is 2ms. First of all, check that ASIO4ALL is your chosen driver in your DAW.
Reduce the buffer to its lowest setting in ASIO4All.
Keep in mind that if your CPU isn't fast enough it may struggle to output sound if you're using lots of effects if the buffer is low.
