true that!  hehe.  usually people buy the rack version of it, instead of the mixer.  otherwise HD na, which is too expensive for us hobbyists.

maybe digidesign could make a hometools LE edition!  haha.

ok lng ba mga sir ung USB mixers sa gitara, bass at boses?
nka midi kc ako sa drums eh hehehe or mas malayo ang resulta tlga ng mga firewire kesa sa mga USB?

if you're gonna record track by track and like what you've said that you use midi for your drum tracks. Yes you can survive with USB mixer. like behringers xenyx or the alesis multimix usb

yes..although one time may banda na nagrecord sa rehearsal studio namin, sila mismo ang nagrecord, dala nila line 6 toneport, nag setup sila ng live recording.. ok naman siya.. umabot pa ng approximately 15 minutes un nirecord nila ng tuloy-tuloy kasi with matching interviews pa yun' plus yun kanta.. so i think usb can really do the job..
ako naman gamit ko alesis 16 usb.. kapag live recording, i manage to separate 2 tracks.. yun isa sa soundcard. then yun' isa sa usb.. kadalasan hinihiwalay ko yung vocals okaya kick drum..

pero if you are to purchase today, get the firewire parin..
yun lang :-)
