CARBOSTICKS and FIBERSTICKS *merged*

For me, matibay yung carbostick. Yun lang when it comes to sound quality, wood pa rin. Inabot ng five months sa akin. Nawala lang kasi may nang-arbor. Well, it depends on our velocity.. Pag malakas palo, madali mapuputol. Balik ako sa wood stick.

I tried Carbosticks in 2008, yung Bronze line. I used them for about six months, when they got too thin at the neck for me. I haven't broken them yet though, so I'd say they're a lot tougher than wooden sticks. They said the Bronze lines had more rebound than the Silver lines, but they didn't seem to have nearly as much rebound as wood. Gusto ko pa naman maglaro with rebound. And it also sounds very choked, as opposed to Ahead sticks which sound very sharp (at least, to my ears).

As far as durability goes, it's tougher than wood, but it's not as tough as Ahead. I bought an Ahead pair last December 2008, and I'm still using them today.  For the record, I alternate between Aheads and wooden sticks, depending on the style of the song.

Na experience ko na po ito...

2008?? nga yata... umabot naman ng 13months before bumigay... and i used it 4 times a week... hard player ako lalu na with the snare. ( Rim shot )

but the sad part is... if shuffle player ka or drum player that gives more fills with the bells and cymbals i'll go for the woods

Haven't use any Carbosticks befor pero eto ung gamit ng kakilala kong metal drummer. para sakin maganda naman sya. and i think tatagal sya kahit mabibigat na tugtugan.

Ok din ang Carbosticks kaso mas feel ko ang Ahead. Talagang pantay ang tunog at balance hindi lahat ng carbosticks pantay ang weight at bigat. Mahahalata nyo naman po. Regarding sa Tibay, depende sa pumapalo at depende din sa size ng sticks. Kung ung stci mo 7a tapos tugtugan nyo masyadong mabigat madali lang maputol un dapat mga 5b or basta ung medyo makapal. Pero kahit 7a pede din sa heavy bbasta wag lang i hataw ng husto patalbugin mo lang and that will solve the problem. Regarding naman sa feel sa simula nakaka panibago kahit sa AHEAD nanibago din ako pero sanayan lang din. Pero mas gusto ko appearance/balance/durability ng AHEAD. Wala kasing tapon palitan mo lang ng taper unlike sa carbo pag naputol goodbye na!

  Sir ok po ang carbo sticks... may tropa ko mabigat pumalo... almost 2 yrs na ang corbo niya... wala pa sa kalahati yung body and tip... and di sha nag chi-chip
