Ang dami ko na rin nadaanan na cellphones...
...Ericsson R310s (My Favorite!)
here's a pic of my favorite phone!
....................................
Touche! here are mine:
LEFT:
Alcatel OneTouch Pocket, front and side, 1997
- Easy on the hands (mine are small)
- nice keyboard touch and layout
- WAP-ready when we weren't WAP-capable yet, so I don't know its browsing performance
- Nice functions
- The best part was it had a supplied adaptor for 3 AA batteries to replace the LI-On for emergencies. At the time of brown-outs, I was the only one with a working cel. The AAs could provide the unit enough power to last a whole day for SMS and short calls.
- Sturdy and slim. I miss this cel.
- Stolen.
RIGHT:
Ericsson R310s, aka the 'SHARK' phone, my third unit, 2000
Mine was yellow, however, the only available color from Electronics Depot in Libis at the time. Would've wanted the orange model.
- Was hard to avail of because Nokia was already becoming popular
- Wanted the other accessories, like Victorinox's compass
- Had ambient sensor; the LCD would light up if I were in the middle of texting and I'd be in and out of the P. Tuazon or Ayala underpasses
- I could receive and send calls while washing the dishes, in the shower and, in some cases, while drizzling
- Very good voice pick-up even in the wind; have used it while on board the bed of a pick-up truck. No audio loss.
- I miss it's Tetris game
- I generally miss this really sturdy phone. Ive demo'd it to friends like dropping it, for instance.
- Bulky, expensive accessories
- The battery died after 3 years when I was migrating to a Motorola; batt replacement wouldve cost me the price of a new 3310 at the time.
Switched to Nokia, and dropped the Motorola Timeport, only for the fact that accessories and parts for Nokia were, and remain to be, cheap.
