noob question to those tube experts...

what if we change the ECC83's to 12AX7's, what difference would it make? tone wise? loudness? etc...

depende nalang siguro kung anong brand with regards sa tone and loudness differences..

sorry sir, di kasi ako talaga familiar sa mga tube specs eh. hehehehe

nakalagay kasi sa manual nya is ECC83 / 12AX7. kaya pala ganun. akala ko pa naman magkaiba yun ng characteristics.

just got me my cub 10! hehehe. sarap sha. i've never heard my guitars sound this alive. it's really a british-voiced amp. and for a low wattage amp, medyo mataas ang clean headroom nya. and it's loud. but it should be played loud talaga in order to push the output tubes. will try to record some clips later on. as of now, i enjoy ko muna yung amp, hehe.

Hey peewee, Cub10 fan ka na din. Same experience tayo. My guitars seem to sound better thru the cub10. The clean headroom is really big for a 10 watt amp. (gain at 10'oclock and volume at 3'oclock tapos clean boost pedal in front = sarap )

Congrats to all happy owners of Cub10!

Yung MG15 kasi sa church eh nakaka-sabay naman yung clean in a band settings. At least monitor volume lang kc naka line out.

Mas mataas ba clean headroom ng cub10 or same lang kaya?

mas mataas ang headroom, generally speaking, pag mas malaki speaker mo..  :-)
the cub10 has a 10" speaker.. the MG15 only has an 8"..

went to salonga music store in cubao yesterday...na test ko yung cub 8 yata yun...ganda ng sound...tapos test ng sales person sa marshall cab...mas gumanda tunog...will definitely get one for my bedroom pero mukhang malakas pa din sya. :-)

kahit nga hindi mo na ikabit sa cabinet maganda na tunog niya e. hehe. ako nga since pangkwarto lang naman at wala din akong kwarta.. wala akong balak na ikabit siya sa cab. hehe. :evil:
