I had a great sounding MIJ DS1 that I really liked.  I then decided to do the Keeley mod on it because DIY mod became the IN thing.  Now, i dont like it as much and just should have kept it as is.

mukhang na-BI ni Joe Satriani si EJ ah.. from that interview, he sounded like he just recovered from a lifetime of GASsing haha.. he has a point though, instead of focusing more on tone-searching, focus more on creating great music. kaya no more new pedals for me(until further notice :) ) and it's back to the theory books and assignments ni sir Perf nung guitar clinic nya hehe

Its a tempting thought about having a ds-1 modded, I had the same thought when I got mine (Poundcake!). But after playing around with it, I'm happy as it is. My anyday pedal :-)

Ang hirap lang maghanap ng DS-1. I saw one in Raon years ago, but was too dirt poor to buy it  :cry: Now I'm hard-pressed to find one. Anybody here selling a new, unmodded DS-1??

Sa akin, ayos naman ang tunog ng stock DS-1. Medyo flexible nga lang ang modded. A little more warmer too, atleast to me, hehe.

Yeah I came across a Keeley modded DS-1 na din. Still undecided if I liked it, pero parang on the ayaw side nga. It was too fat. Well...maybe like a TS9 on steroids but I'm sure it has its uses for single-note playing.

Yeah, I think I liked the stock DS-1 better, but just a very minor tweak to its clipping and output stages makes it sonically richer without altering the fundamental characteristics of its sound. Teka...si toybitz has a DS-1 that I modded. Yeah, gumanda nga tunog nun.

Sir BAMF, pa-mod ako ng DS1 ko sa yo pag uwi... yung pink OD pedal mo meron pa ba? order na rin ako ng isa, im sure my wife will like it kasi its color pink...let me know if this is possible :)
