Ganda! Nakita ko yung halimaw na custom SIOCHI head ni Isok sa FB, halimaw! Pinagpalit ata niya yung custom shop Mesa para dun.

Kung makita nyo ung amp nag ginawa ni Sir George para kay Louis, you would not believe na gawa to sa Pinas. From the front layout to the rear panel, to the tubes used (KT88's ang power tube nung kay Louis), to the 4-button footswitch(clean/crunch, lead, fx loop, mute)...very professionally made. He hand made the trannies, chassis, and the enclosure.
I think its high time na magkaroon ng thread solely for Sir George Siochi for the discussion of his builds, suggestions for improvement, mods he can do, parts that he uses, etc.

Ito pala yung tinext ni George na gusto nya pagamit sa next gig. Sana pwede si George sa Saturday, sa Backdoor Blues Cafe gig ng Blues Bruddahs. According to him ang dami nya naging new customer and contacts after several times nyang nagpagamit ng amps niya sa mga blues night sa Conspiracy dati.

IMO, because its a custom amp(specs based on a specific customer), it is expensive and requires at least a downpayment to push through with the project. Most people might not afford to buy one (including me). Another thing, Louis might ask for royalty fee, you know. :-D
Maybe we can request Sir George to make an affordable high gain amp. But still he need funds to start the building process. He also needs to know the market. Baka walang bumili malugi lang sya. Marami rin kasi klase ng high gain amp on which the amp will be based. Marshall, Mesa Dual Rec, Bogner, etc. so it will add to the confusion on what most people want, so that the amp will sell.

The Custom 100 is 100watts right? I wonder how loud that was in the video. How's the drive in low volumes? Pero regardless, I dont think anyone would buy 100 watts for the bedroom except for me.
The sound of that amp is killer. The player was killer and made pink shorts look really bad ass. :mrgreen:
And above everything else, its aesthetically high-end. Looks palang panalo na.

pwede un bro. Ung preference mo ang masusunod. For low wattage lang, sakto yang SIOCHI Kustombre V22. Ginamit ng True Faith sa gig nila yang head/cab sa 19 East. Mamaya gagamitin din nila deltaslim sa gig nila sa QC.

Done! George lent his 2 amps for the gig (2 sets, almost 3 hrs). Pag dating ko pa lang dun napainit na tubo! Haha.
They can do cleans very well for blues. There were sometimes I just stepped on a boost or a Tim w/ very slight dirt + boost.

I've watched the videos. Swak na swak sa blues ang Kustombre V22 head/cab and combo. I can clearly hear the clean of the head/cab in the mix. The combo was used by deltaslim and sounds warmer.
Sayang di ako nakasama kay Sir George sa gig ni deltaslim but next time I'll make sure.

Pag custom amp kasi, ung preferences mo masusunod.. what tubes to use, ilang channel, ano features gusto mo, pang blues, high gain ba, metal ba.etc..
If you're really serious magpagawa...tawagan mo sya..or better yet drop by at his house..

Just watched the Kustombre V22 vids again. BTW, there are no effects used in the Kustombre V22 demo except for a clean booster in the last part of the Kustombre head/cab video.

This is another amp built by George Siochi. I think this is the first one that he made early on his career as a guitar tube amp designer/builder. Very classy and well built.
Sana nga may FX loop. Pwedeng palagyan kay Sir George ng FX loop. He made the amp, sure he can do mods on it.

I was very very impressed when i got to try the Sunstream 112. Its looks can be very deceiving. Lovely wood finish, i thought it was a tame beast, just think simple OD, but I was surprised of how much gain this damn thing has...A lot!
The amp made me smile because it was loud, and can easily take the low register of the B string on my 7 string guitar.
I'm not endorsing this amp but it's a great amp, proudly Philippine made. Prog on!!!

The joinery on that pine cab looks superb!! I'm a sucker for finished hardwood cabs.

A good friend of mine (and one hell of a guitar player too) Jeriko Aguilar had me try his 50W Custom Lead last week during our Gig at Ka Freddie's Malate, and I would say his 72k was worth it. Sparkling clean, raging overdrive and that killer Deathswitch. It's like a Fender, Marshall and Mesa in one high powered amp. He also used his old Celestion Vintage 30 that came from his old Marshall Amp, so no more "breaking-in" needed. Very impressive construction too.
More power to Siochi Amps!

the classic 30 was my first tube amp ever. so i won't forget that beast :) its with philaxeman now.
the carinosa is for people who like clean tones and moderate overdriven tones...i dont own one so i didn't get to play with it a lot...dun lang sa demo ko siya nasubukan. ung custom lead GT...my first impression was "Silverchair Freak Show Era", then we made a few tweaks to make it sound bigger (different resistor/capacitor values, preamp and poweramp tubes). i really like it :)

A good friend of mine (and one hell of a guitar player too) Jeriko Aguilar had me try his 50W Custom Lead last week during our Gig at Ka Freddie's Malate, and I would say his 72k was worth it. Sparkling clean, raging overdrive and that killer Deathswitch. It's like a Fender, Marshall and Mesa in one high powered amp. He also used his old Celestion Vintage 30 that came from his old Marshall Amp, so no more "breaking-in" needed. Very impressive construction too.
More power to Siochi Amps!

hi folks! magkano yung Sunstream112? is it as powerful as a Fender Blues, Jr.? nakasubok kasi ako ng blues, jr. dati na tweed at yakang-yaka nya Route196, saGuijo at 70s Bistro =)
i'm lookng for an amp that's easy to lug around but can handle bar gigs.

Pa gawa ka na lang ng amp sa kanya. Pasyalan mo sya sa house para ma test mo rin ung ibang amps. OK yan kausap si Sir George. May head version ng kustombre. Mas magaan. Tapos pagawa ka na lang ng 1x12 cab. ASTEEG dating mo. Hehehe.

I have this very amp now! Loving the dirty, but was wondering if I had old tubes since it was already breaking up at around 3 o clock gain. Was curious if it had more clean power than it currently has.
This is another amp built by George Siochi. I think this is the first one that he made early on his career as a guitar tube amp designer/builder. Very classy and well built.

Salamat! I might bring it to him for a mod increasing the headroom for the normal channel. I like its dirty tones so far, but I need all the headroom I can get, hehe.

ahh...sana kinuha mo na lang yung carinosa or yung isa pa niyang model...V22 ata yun (yung ginagamit ni vin dancel). The sunstream is more on the high gain side of things. Pero I've been in a band situation where the other guitarist was using a sunstream plugged into a 2x12, and he was audible on both clean and dirt channels while competing with a loud drummer and my 50watt

ahh...sana kinuha mo na lang yung carinosa or yung isa pa niyang model...V22 ata yun (yung ginagamit ni vin dancel). The sunstream is more on the high gain side of things. Pero I've been in a band situation where the other guitarist was using a sunstream plugged into a 2x12, and he was audible on both clean and dirt channels while competing with a loud drummer and my 50watt

Hi bro Marco. There is not much clean headroom for this amp especially when using a humbucker-equipped guitar. The circuit is based on Soldano SLO which also for a 100 watt amp has not much clean headroom. The first stage can be easily be overdriven. Using a 12at7 in the V1 will allow more clean but the overall volume is still low because the power amp is designed for 15-18 watts. A 100db speaker will give it more volume. Fyi. This used to be mine.
