Pero you can always look for other ways to maximize the promo. Kuha ka ng steel box, lagyan mo ng switch at kung ano-anong chips. Voila! instant old looking pedal (which costs around 100 pesos to build). Now, take this and trade it to JB. Kunwari you like to buy G1xon (srp is around 5,950). So that's a straight 30% discount putting the pedal down to 4,165 (plus option to pay for 3 mos, 0% interest).

5,950-4,165=1,785

You just traded off a 100 peso valued pedal to get 1.7k worth of discount.

IMHO, the promo is not limiting. It doesn't ask for your gears that you are having a hard time of letting go. Syempre, bat mo i-tratrade yang tube amp mo for a solid state one? Di ba? As I said earlier, the promo is given to stimulate buyer activity. It's up to you on how you can think creatively to maximize the said promo

called JB megamall and they told me that they only give 10% discounts without trade in items. I cannot see the point since this is also for non working units???

You'd only get the regular discount (10-15%) when you do not participate in the trade-in promo. Hence, you should give any brand, non-working/working equipment to get a 30-35% discount.

The non-working clause only applies when you trade in.

about dun sa trade in, I have some old pedlas that I don't use:
a ZEEK Overdrive (U.S. made)
& a Nobels ODR-1 Overdrive na 7/10 ang aesthetics pero fully functional

would they accept this for 10-15% discount on any item?
