what is jologs???

bakit nga ba nagiging baduy o jologs ang isang genre o uri ng musika???

isa sa nakikita kong dahilan ay kapag maraming nakikisakay sa uso. . . pero di naman talaga alam kung ano yung sinasakyan nyang "uso", tapos bibigyan ng sariling ibigsabihin, na taliwas sa tunay na layunin ng genre o uri ng musica na iyon.

siguro alam eto ng mga "TUNAY" na emo, punks, metal. . .
at malamang yun din ang kinaiinis nila sa mga possers na yan.

its a bit complicated...it takes some levels of understanding in

1) sociology
2) anthroplogy
3) humanities
4) philosophy

one sure thing..it will never go away. and i'm not trying to make it look like "jologs" in itself is bad...no..its a necessary culture and it is essential..POP Culture that is.

i dunno if i'm making any sense...i hate it when i lack sleep...

hehehe, ok. . . i agree, dun sa sinabi mo na "jologs" itself is not bad. . . then we should use a different term for those who goes with the trend and thing and feel they know everything about it. . . lets call them extrem jolog then

Nakakatawa kasi ang alam kong tunay na ibig sabihin ng "Jologs" ay "baduy", pero ang naaalala ko noon ay pinilit baguhin ng ABS-CBN ang ibig sabihin ng salitang yun at pinalabas nila na ang  kahulugan ng "jologs" ay "cool", or "hip" kasi naglabas ang Star Cinema ng pelikula noon na ang title ay "Jologs"(starring Assunta de Rossi, etc).

Nabato tuloy ng mga tao si Diether Ocampo nung naging host siya noon sa NU Rock Awards matapos niyang sabihing "Marami palang mga jologs dito". LOL!

Yung transition from "PUNK" to "EMO-PUNK"................
Dahil nga....... the "PUNK" group felt violated by the "EMO-PUNK's"..........
Nanamantala daw ang mga "EMO's" sa kasikatan ng "PUNK"............
Using the name "PUNK" to get the attention of the listeners........
Eh 'di ba mostly ang lyrics ng "PUNK" eh patungkol palagi sa
maling systema at political disorder............tapos yung "EMO-PUNK's"
puros tungkol sa love-life at love-story...............
Kaya mula noon basta love song baduy na sa mga "PUNKs"
So everything beneath the sun na hindi tungkol sa
"political disorder" at "political confusion" ay baduy sa "PUNKS".
Then lahat ng "love song" or Rock Tunes na may theme or lyrics na love,
Binabansagan na nilang "EMO"..................

Pero noong transition ng Blues Rock to Heavy Metal
Wala namang ganyang issue...................Kasi nobody hates love songs before like "PUNKs" did.

"Ang Himig Natin" by Juan De La Cruz do sounds like a love song...............well with out the lyrics of course, but it do mean "unity" if you get the meaning of the song.............

Yap "Punks" now a days, especially the young ones................Never hated love songs................Because what they are imitating are those so called "Emo-Punks" like "Greenday", "Blink 182", etc. etc...........

But if you were to imitate the pure "Punk-Hardcore"................I would say, you will hate love songs like no other..................or even hated "Greenday" or "Blink 182"..............

I don't hate "Punks", "Hardcores", or "Emo"..................I was into "Punks" before....................But I guess the "Hatred" do really subside...............

hahaha, naalala ko yun, pinaligiran na ng mga bouncer at mga dj ng nu yung stage, lalo na nung ginatungan pa ni ian tayao ang crowd, when he received the award fot their band cheese.

What I am saying is...............kung saan nag-start maging baduy o jologs ang "Love Songs"..............That is when the "Punks" start hating the "Emos"................kasi nga sir!.........yung mga kanta ng "Emo" is all about love...............kaya to "Punks".............."Love Song = Emo" and "Emo = Love Song".................For them it's all the same..............kaya they hated them both.................

my 2 cents worth...

as far as i know, the term "jologs" came from the cockneyed spanish word "jologer" (pronounced as "hologer") which roughly means a "young, mischievous adolescent". It was usually associated with the teen-age kids of old rich Spanish families akin to the "conios" of today. so there. pwedeng maniwala, pwede ring hinde.
