Got these to replace my dead PL11s. Big mistake. Too muddy for my taste. But, I don't wanna judge it too fast. At least not until the break in period ends. If these doesn't satisfy my ears, I'll buy some new PL11s.

Actually, it is also a bit muddy for my taste too. Even after a 12 hour white noise break in period.

Guys maganda pa ba bumili ng audio technica ath-m50 ngayon? May nakita kasi ako sale. Nasa 6k na lang. Hanggang ngayon sound magic pl-11 gamit ko. Maganda siya pero minsan naiisip ko bumili ng M50's. Hehe.

all rounder ang M50 it will last long time basta di ka adik sa upgrade you will never get wrong sa m50 but then IMO di ko siya type kasi parang medyo digital ang tunog ng surround but all rounder kasi siya. As long as you know how to be satisfied okay yang m50..

Yung Grado sub-5K sya. 4900+ ata. can be lower. Okay sya if you want balanced tone din, and by balanced imean don't expect na parang may subwoofer yung tunog. If you want bass stick ka sa M50. personally I'd get the M50 now for the price.

Grado SR80i or SR80e? Mas bago yung e series, mas maganda ang tunog (more oomph on the low end, and a tad louder than the older i series), pero yung i series naka 15% off sa Egghead. Help!

I really like the e series, mas balanse yung tone in terms of being able to get more bass without resorting to a closed back design or sacrificing the quality of the mids. It's just my cheap stingy ass holding me back! How do you find your SR80e? May gamit kayo na amp sir?

my views on the sr80e is the sound it produces is very accurate. it is not designed to exaggerate some sound aspects like the bass or treble. sounds so natural to me.

no...i do not use any amp with it. i just plug it directly to my ipod, ipad, notebook and zenith turntable.
