teddy diaz - pinoy rock's greatest loss, had the attitude but none of that egoistic better-than-you rockstar [gooey brown stuff] of those who came after him...

jun lopito - old school meets eastern mysticism

wally gonzales - a true pinoy classic, never outdated

come to think of it, there are guitarists that came after teddy who matters, and i'm so blessed to be playing with them...so drumroll please... it's cool2ny & kamots, two of the most unassuming but wicked guitarists i've heard...watch out for them...remember, you read it here first...

bro, carlo sison (sake, true faith) was the guitarist for hardware syndrome which was francism's band for the freeman album. perf de castro & noel mendez also played additional guitars. peborit song ko dun e, "3 stars & a sun", lupit ng lead!!! if i'm not mistaken, carlo is still francism's lead guitarist together with a new kid named kenji. peace!

^ alam ko nagsession din si noel mendez sa album na yun, a guitarist friend told me about this one song na may tapping sa rhythm part. that sounds refreshingly original.

mr. mendez co-wrote "funky monkey" & "puso ng siga" with mr. magalona & laid down some funky guitarwork on those songs too.

For me it's Teddy Diaz, one of Pinoy rocks greatest loss! Also in my mind is Noel Mendez, I was able to work with him in some session tracks for commercial jingles. ANd of course Perf deCastro, I've known Perf since he was first learning to play the guitar. He put his heart into his craft, kaya ang galing niya!!
