Electric fan noise
« on: November 02, 2017, 02:53:17 PM »
Im using a behringer Q1002USB in recording. Pag nakaon ung electric fan, may static noise sya na noticeable lalo pag mataas ang gain pero pag patay yung fan eh wala. Static tlaga sya di ung noise from the fan. Pano kaya maprevent un?

hindi ko alam kung makakatulong to pero wag mo na lang gamitin yung electric fan

Couple of questions.

1. Static ba talaga or is it the sound of the air circulating inside the room?
2. Static ba tlaga or vibration ng fan?

Use the electric fan as background noise, a good example of this is Intro in "Natutulog kong mundo" - Wolfgang  8-)

base sa aking pag sasaliksik.

ang pinaka dahilan nyan ee need mo na daw mag aircon. hehe. peace.

BTT:

bro try mo gumamit ng extension. or something. it might be malakas humatak ng current ang eE-fan mo. so pwedeng solution ung sinabi ko. or isaksak mo sa iba. nakapag try na ako ng xenyx pero wala namang ganyang prob ang nangyari. saka maganda yan bro dahil dami effects nyan. pero the best padin for me ang ux2, hehehe. basta try mo ung sinabi ko bro. pwede pag hatak yan ng current. parang sa radio at sa charging ng phone. nangyayari ung static sa radyo pag sinaksak mo sya. so aun lang.

  • compare to regular transformer mas malakas talaga ang magnetic field ng fan motor.  bukod sa baka may isolated case sa electric fan na gamit mo like slightly deteriorated na yun motor, or may fault sa winding or any cause ng high electric currents & excessive emission ng magnetic field..
  • now magnetic field are commonly known to be the source of most (60 cycle) hums and not statics..
  • but magnetic field are characterized by wavelength and frequency so most of the time if there's a magnetic field (emf/emi), there's also radio frequency present (rfi).. there's your statics
  • try mo ilayo yun electric fan sa mixer, cables, instrument, pc (desktop, crt , monitor)
  • better yet off mo na lang yun electric fan kung kakayanin while the work is in progress
  • now kung hndi puwede na walang electric fan, try setting up faraday cage to shield your equipment from the magnetic field.  You will have to probe lang where exactly is the point of penetration or yun weak link kung saan susceptible sa emf amongst your equipment..
  • your audio signal are mostly scattered via your cables and in it's most vurnerable state.. so it is best na maganda ang shielding niya
  • bottomline it's all about proper shielding & know the source of noises and avoidance

God bless Ü
