*Asics Tri-Noosa 8

*Mostly on Running/ Casual Wear

*I haven't tried this for 42k yet, But i tried it on 2 event of 21k 1 week after (RU1 & 7-11) Good kicks for Mid-foot runners

*I strongly recommend asics for those who wants a stable running. Asics are mostly for overpronated runners who needs support

*4.5/5

*Asics Gel Equation 3

*Mostly on Running/ Casual Wear / Everyday wear

*I use this on as my slip on shoes, ung isususuksok mo na lang, already good enough for everyday use. I tried this also on 42k, more better than my Nike running shoes, good ventilation, stable support, but it gives me the
most painful blisters i ever had. first time 42k din ko kasi un.

*4/5

*Puma Whirwind classic

*Casual wear

*Everyday use

*3/5

Vans (Definitely not legit, a copy and natural relic)
Size : I'm not sure about my size.. it just fits perfectly.
Durability : I've been using this for more than 3 years now. I use this almost everyday. I walk from Pasay Road(the other side at PNR station) to Ayala everyday and this shoes never left me hanging.
Condition : 7/10. 100% Walking condition. There are few torn parts. But you can walk without any uncomfortable feeling wearing this. Never been repaired.  :-D
Price : I'm not really sure who bought this thing and if it's mine. I just saw it in our shoe rack then wear it. Pero nasa 250 sa mga palengke or bangketa to. Matatawadan pa sigurado.

I'm not really that type of person who wants branded stuff(except for guitars). I never bought jeans, shirts and shoes for my self. I just ask my sister to buy me stuff and yes.. syempre meron din dapat sya pang gas para umandar.  :) :)

Nike Kobe X Elite

i got them because i love the color and the design ... its sort of reptilian, plus it looks like boxing shoes. they are pretty expensive, and performance-wise, they are pretty good. perhaps not as life changing for the amount of money, but hey, i am not really sure if i can ever have a shoe that makes me go "wow!" based on performance.

just like running shoes, they have a bounce to them, and after getting used to trail shoes, the bounce actually feels nice! the padding is average, which means its not as impressive as the Oakley combat boots i tested. its not as comfortable especially for the price. but perhaps thats because its Nike and i have big fat, flat feet.

the grip is very good especially indoors/gym/boxing ring. outdoors, its average, but i would never take these shoes on a hiking trip ever!

the weight is decent, you can go running with it, as long as its indoors because i dont think the soles can take a lot of hits in them. i am not interested to find out how durable it is lol

all in all, i give it an 7/10. 9/10 if looks are cool factor are your priorities.

pros: great looks (catches attention), good performance.

cons: not versatile, takes 3x longer to put on and take off than most shoes, made for slim feet (just like all of Nike's stuff)

Off Topic:

Are there wide versions of popular shoes like Chucks? I have horribly wide and short feet (imagine cutting off the tip/last segment of your toes, then make it even wider). I get size 9 chucks to fit my wide feet, but the length is just size 8.

BTT: About to get two more pairs of World Balance EasySofts for the rainy season  :)

originally wanted the rugged  dms 939 pero no luck
got these a week ago, Timberland rugged LT Chukka boots, no need to break in, anti fatigue inner soles are comfortable and so are the walls of the boot. Full grain leather. Outer rubber soles are made from 42% recycled materials and remaining is from virgin rubber. not sure it theyre waterproof, i applied a shoe cream with beeswax on them.

These made me at least an inch taller. They look good on slim pants and fvcking khakis. i hope it'll last kasi sabi "a good boot can last a lifetime"(with proper care). [gooey brown stuff]

chucks? No. Jack Purcell may be a bit wider.

A good alternative to Chucks are Palladium boots. Very comfortable - canvas upper, tire-rubber soles.

San nakakabili nun? looks good. Does it also suffer from the "holes" at the side where the shoe bends?

almost, the range is 3.5k to around 6k. The canvas ones (which can fold to midcut) are very good. The leathers are meh.

I have a green (almost camo) and a beige (desert storm), with plaid lining. Feels good, looks good, work well with stompboxes

I should check them out. I wonder if they also work well with bass pedals. My chucks are the most responsive shoes I have when not drumming barefoot.

Eto ang issue ko sa chucks at vans eh. Kahit kasi nakaupo ako, may tendency na naka-bend ang shoes ko.

i've always seen DM's as fashion boots ... i dont think they'd last in rugged conditions. i suggest you check out Oakley or 511 combat boots, most models are water-proofed + they are meant to perform under rugged conditions.

check out wrestling shoes... yun nga lang, sobrang rare. online ko lang nakikita. di din sya "musician brand" ... medyo OT lang, na realize ko na may mga shoes pala na na nag cacater sa musicians. that explains my taste for foot wear dati

Nung di pa dumadating yung Bates USMC ko eh DM's gamit ko sa airsoft, he he he. They performed well naman. Pero like I said, may ni-release na waterproof ang DM's recently. I haven't checked it out though.

I checked out the palladium website and they got nice ones. I liked the pampam models. Reminded me of the skechers canvas in the 90s and the canvas dm's that I had.

Ang thread na ito.

Been running for a while, here's a list and thoughts on my former and current kicks

1st: Nike 5.0 - first shoe purchased for running. Bought it cause it looked good, i just run casually back then. (gave it to my father)

2nd: Saucony Triumph ISO 2 - Bought these coz i have proven that i can run longer, its ultra plush but is stiff and too heavy for long runs. I've used it well for regular and recovery runs. Sold it to the driver at our office last month

3rd: Nike Flyknit 4.0 - Great fit, very good balance of flexibility and snug fit, ultra lightweight and Fast. The 6mm drop is perfect. I was striking on fore to midfoot. Bought these for use in rotation with the Triumph ISO, but i used these(free 4.0) too often.  I could say these are my best pair if not only for the not-at-all-bouncy EVA foam. The idea behind the shoe was to promote strength by running as if you were doing it on barefoot (or close). I've used these for fast runs and some LSDs, never had muscle sores but i think this is the one that has caused me stress fracture, I used it mostly in preparation for the June 4 Half Marathon until my tibial bones begin to crack!

4th: Saucony Kinvara 5 - Bought it a week after i had the Free 4.0, they were on sale and had good reviews. The one I've used on my first half M. Doesn't have the great fit of the Free 4.0 but is very responsive on faster runs, I can feel the rubber squeeze and absorb my weigh, but once you get slow, you'd feel the ground is getting harder/tougher. Not using these anymore, i think the EVA foam is already broken and has lost its responsiveness. It had the most mileage.

5th: New balance 1500v2 - Bought it three weeks ago on my return to training. Its got what i wanted from the Free 4.0 and Kinvara 5. Lightweight, great fit, 6mm drop, responsive EVA. This is the best ive had so far, I just don't know how long the responsiveness of the EVA will last. I intend to use it on October race

Now Eyeing on Adidas boosts models, Adidas ditched the traditional EVA and developed the boost foam . They claimed the boost will retain its responsiveness despite the long use and changes in temperature. Really great.
Dapat talaga yung Adios model nila ang bibilin ko, kaso antagal lumabas.

wala palang sneaker thread bukod dito no.

anyway, i only had running shoes and a pair of chucks for the longest time, and more on leather shoes pang office and some espadrilles. naubos na tread ng NB Minimus ko so I was looking for a good pair.

so for running and workout I have
1. NB 1500 v1. pretty stable and comfortable and runs TTS.
2. Reebok Crossfit Nano 5.0 for gym. may kevlar and maganda itsura din. and pretty tough actually.
