Pro Tools Amnesty Upgrade Program
Customers who purchase and register any new Pro Tools system that comes with a previous
version of Pro Tools between now (October 3rd) and the official availability date of Pro Tools
8 (to be determined mid-Q4) are entitled to receive a free upgrade to Pro Tools 8 (via web
download) when available. Customers who purchase and activate a Pro Tools 7.4 upgrade

Qualified customers will receive an email with instructions for downloading their free upgrade

a question, how about an unregistered PTMP 7.1? If I register it online-now, would I get the free upgrade too?

AFAIK, Only v7.4 will get a free upgrade. v7.1 was released early 2006 which is more than 2 years ago. If, however, this is just a recent purchase, then you should be entitled for the free upgrade as long as you register it within this month.

Try to register your MP 7.1.
