Combining two 1x12 cabs
« on: March 15, 2016, 03:36:20 PM »
Good day sirs. Is there a way to combine two 1x12 cabs (each having an impedance of 8 ohms) to obtain a 16 ohm total? I'm planning to buy a matching head and cab asap (Goldea Shark C) kaso 8 ohms ang available na cabs. It will work with the head, but I'd love the option of hooking it up with my other amp head, a peavey classic 30 which is only compatible with 16 ohm speakers. Ayun. Haha.

P.S. I do have a 1x12 for my C30, with Eminence the Wizard.

Hoping for replies. Newb sa electronics po here. Salamat! :cute: :cute: :cute:

You'll need to buy/make a series junction box for that matter. You plug both speakers (cabs) on the junction box then plug the junction box to your amp's extension speaker out.
