plano ko bumiliu ng film camera. dahil canon user ako pinag paplanuhan ko bumili ng Eos 3, Eos 5 at AE-1. :-D meron akong rangefinder "ricoh 35 deluxe" bigay lang sakin kaso sobrang dumi. ilang dekada yata hindi nagamit. :|

ako mahilig sa film photog and lomo :-D magastos na hobby pero masaya naman. medyo madami na din akong babies ngayon sa kaadikan ko pinakarecent ko ang nikon f2 ng aking tito na pinamana sakin. kailangan ko lang ipraktis. :)
pag napalinis na ng friend ko yung rolleiflex automat 4 niya hihiramin ko kasi hindi pa siya kasing adik ko haha pag binenta niya sa kin yun siguro bibilhin ko yun ganda eh hehe

Sorry for the hostility guys. Nakaka asar lang kasi yng pag-refuse maging sensitive ng mga ibang tao na sa tingin nila eh madali ang film photography (lomography, for this matter).
I really wouldn't mind posting LOMO effect digicam shots, pero wag nila sanang i-post sa thread na to na kung saan eh totoong lomography ang nandito.
To kilikilers: nice shots. But I suggest you buy an LSI camera and try lomography since you can afford to buy an iPhone. Tulungan pa kita makabili ng films.

hayaan niyo na po at hindi naman nila naiintindihan ang lomography. ang alam lang nila ay magaganda ang colors at cool ang itchura. may mga tao nga na hindi nila alam na film pala ang gamit nun eh :-D

i apologize kung na offend ko kayo sa shots taken from my iphone app., and it was not my intention to insult "photography/lomography" guys... i could easily say it was a film shot, pero NO, as respect to you guys, sinabi ko na iphone shots sila... :-)

LEARN. Hindi "gatong" ang sinabi ko, but an allegory.
Film photography IS a dying art. I didn't say it's dead. At any rate, the statement itself bears more meaning to film photographer because skills in a dying art is more valuable than any digital photography. You see, ignorant as you are, those who know the basics of film photography KNOW how to take good photos. They know how to compose a scene in their head.
If you can't say something nice, then say nothing at all.
You should really follow your own advice. You haven't really said anything nice.

LEARN. There are people who take the time to learn the basics and practice the craft. There's no such thing as "app photography." iPhone "Lomo" is nothing more but digital photography.

Toinking, you have nice composition, but, you need to adjust your framing so the object you're shooting doesn't get cropped. Allow enough space for the shot to "breathe" and take note of the 1/3 rule.

maganda daw ang ektar lalo na pang skin tones. pero hindi ko pa nattry. :) yung superia 400 medyo saturated kung mga ganyan ang gusto mong itchura. pati yung fuji NPH prang medyo saturated din pero ganda ng skintones

Hmmm oo nga un nga sabi magaganda ung EKTAR kase i already order 5 rolls of films sa Ebay hehehe im gonna try it next week sa beach ang lakad ko aabangan ko kse ung sunrise hehehe ttry ko mag shoot if fine siya hehe may mga subjects na din ako i hope sulit nmn binayad ko sa films na ito hehehe ano ba magndang pang lomo camera? wla kse ako iDEA but im planning na pumasok sa WOrld of LOMO eh any suggestion mam SKYPHOS???

nasaan ka ba? okay din ang vivitar ultrawide and slim o kaya vivitar ic100 yan pang beginner o kaya pag wala superheadz fat lens. madali gamitin maganda effect makapal ang vignette mas maganda kung nakaslide films :P

Nice pictures, guys. Keep film alive! Treasure each and every roll because you'll never know when they decide to discontinue a certain film. Case in point: it's been months since I've seen a fresh roll of Fuji NEOPAN 400 in shops (not sure if it's really discontinued though).

Mga Sir. tanong ko lang. OK pa ba pa develop yung film kung mga nasa about 7 - 10years na syang naka stock? Di pa sya napapa develop. Natagpuan ko lang kanina may film pa pla kami na hindi pa napapa develop e. TIA :-D
Tsaka Balak ko mag Experiment gamit ang mga Expired Films. OK lang ba Canon Snappy o kaya yung toy Camera na Bell+howell? Thanks Ulit, :-)

pwede pa naman ipa process ang problema lang eh baka natuyo na yung film at wala ng lalabas na photo. puro expired ang gamit kong film haha pero properly stored naman :)

bakit nag blur kuha ng picture sa film photography naalala ko nung 80's pinakunan namin katulong ng picture nanay ko gamit 35mm camera or 110 tapos nund na developed blurred lumabas ano yung mali ginawa kaya lumabas yun!?

Late bloomer here. hehe lately lang ako nag research about lomography. Ang maganda sa lomography pag tumingin ka sa photo parang panaginip. Madame na ako nabasa about dito. Project ko Holga camera pasok kasi sa budget ko pero kung kaya pa Diana F+ para ayus na ayus.
Dun sa mga nag hahanap kung saan meron nag dedevelop ng film, meron ako nakita na link sa isa sa mga search ko kung paano gumawa ng sariling dark room at anung chemicals ang gagamitin, hanapin ko lang ulit ung site para ma share ko dito.
Nabasa ko sa thread yung nag hahanap ng shop kung san makakabili ng lomo cameras, sa Trinoma meron nga Team Manila name nila meron din sa MOA same name din.
Dun sa mga nag kakainitan na gumagamit ng LOMO App sa Iphone at si Pro LOMO guy PEACE na tayo at mag shoot nalang. Kay LOMO App Iphone guy dito ka ata dapat nag Post ( http://talk.philmusic.com/index.php?topic=219285.0) CELLPHONEPHOTOGRAPHY
I hope welcome ako dito. Maganda meron Eyeball then photowalk tyo dala mga camera natin aka streetphotography.

kung starting ka plang sa film mas mganda kung yung 35mm format ka muna mahal kasi ang medium format film eh. anyway dreamy pa din naman ang shots ng diana mini parang holga and diana pa din. :)
ang parati kong advice para sa pastart pa lang eh buy yung cheap plastic cameras. kung gusto ng ma vignette hanap ka ng ic100 or superheadz fat lens.

You lomo lowlifes barely have any knowledge of EIs, the nature of film, its processing, et . and you go around proselytizing as if you're some messiah who's come down to save the practice of film photography. You have to be more careful of placing that injunction, i.e. the need to learn more, on other people.

thanks for the compliment bro. i have my own gears. i'm using an epson perfection v330 film scanner + a digitaliza 35mm scanning mask. plus you need to have a film camera that has a feature that will include the 135 film sprocket holes during the exposure.

kung pang lomo, merong mga "specialty" films sa mga hipster stores at bookstores (Fully Booked used to have them), may pang red scale o kaya yung film para sa ibang chemical process.
kung yung ordinary lang, sa normal na photography shop, tanong ka lang kung meron silang stock, kahit panis na. minsan wala. although fujifilm yung mas marami ngayon na mainstream photography shop na may dalang film.

Ako pinapaprint ko na lang, glossy. Ang mahirap sa matte kasi ang pangit na nga sa scanner, pangit din I photograph. I get he glossy ones and to "scan" them, I photograph them instead with an SLR. I still keep the negatives though, pero nakakatamad din mag scan and edit isa isa Kaya print na lang.

it depends on your film scanner. kung ano ang maximum na resolution/dpi na kaya niya. in my case, the maximum dpi of my epson scanner is 12,800 dpi.

Hinila ko si kumander at yung baby namin na pamangkin shooting with Acros 100 and really immersing and engaging my brain tapos nung shot 29 na narealise ko EV value set to +4. Man oh man natatawa na lang ako.
Anyways sana forgiving ang film.
Update. My second Acros 100 was opened by my son at midroll. A long list of learning curves on this new medium.
Tri X pushed at 1600 except for my sons pics. The scans look dirty as in parang me mga dust particles. I was hesitant to give my first Acros 100 roll to the same developer and try someone else but I was there already. Thinking back now I should have listened to my gut instinct.
The resolution also looks of low quality but maybe it was my newbie experience looking at and working with film. I really like the shot of the taxi rear, with more experience and discipline hopefully I can work it consistently.

i am not up to date with the latest scanner. but i am using the epson perfection v330. if you want a scanner that can scan medium format films, just buy the epson perfection v550. but i think double na ang price.
you can check hp flatbed film scanners also.

Wala pa chong. Research pa. Pero ang dami sa flea market ng hidalgo hehe. Mga japanese rangefinders. Guaranteed working condition with warranty. Price range 2500 to 5000.

I remember this shot being dark for the Acros100 so I pumped up the Exposure Value around +5 and this is what I got. I guess it doesn't compensate for the fast shutter speed. It usually has haze if I pump the EV. Nope doesn't work.

noob question: film lifespan, how long?
say i slap a roll into the cam and take 1 picture everyday, kakayanin ba?
i remember when i was younger, i kept hearing film developers say "maam/sir, di na pwede develop yung ibang shots, na expose na po.".
so how can i protect the film from getting damaged while its in the cam?

Bought a run of the mill color film and used a run of the mill shop developer to test the metering on the Nikon F90x. I settled for center weight metering and just went on the middle mark of the light meter not thinking too much about the scene. I basically let the camera decide the exposure by following the built in meter.
Second to the last shot I was so focused on framing and focusing forgot to adjust the meter. Most shots focused manually except for some AF on lil red riding hood. If you are on the market for a second hand film cam the viewfinder coverage is essential especially for manual focus lens.
So lookin back the pillow shots could have been a bit under and the kids shots as well. The give way sign and sticker board looked pretty ok.

thx. Kodak Color Gold ISO 200, HK$30 and $30 for develop and scan. Guy seems ok I don't know if he can develop Acros100 but I'm gonna ask today. I went around to the one near my work sabi ba naman develop/cdscan HK$90 after 4 days....WTF??
They ALL try to rip you off. Hopefully the one I went to can develop BW. Either that or push thru with doing it myself.

Btw , just read the news that kodak and fuji are planning to focus on producing films again. Siguro nakita nila yung market ngayon and the re-growing interest on films.

I don't like this film....too grainy and a few adjustments between shots on subjects with same light you get wildly different results. Way too grainy when underexposed. Just my first roll though gonna see what the other roll gives me.

ive never been to hidalgo lately. still looking for some extra bucks i could squeeze out from the wife. im saving a good fraction of the pag ibig loan para dun sa pinag uusapan natin. if that doesnt work, then im off to hidalgo with the vintage lenses and possibly, my first film slr.

Not yet, haven't come across it. Ive tried Cinestill 50D recently which is a daylight balance and again this is very tricky and expensive and somehow I feel a bit down.

Well if its to copy the look of films(like moving pictures 'films'), mababa nga ang brightness nyan. Something you can fix by tweaking the highlights and whites sliders in lightroom.

Wondering why the rectangular thinking I got light leaks, got negatives back AND they placed a sticker marker directly onto the negative. Genius.
User mistakes abound kept looking at the red window at the bottom dapat pala nakasara yun and still not loading the film right.
