Hi. Got this Peavey Radial snare from our drummer. Any suggestions kung saan magpa restore?

yup all radial pro 1000 drums are maple. the hoops are regular type so it can be replaced with almost anything. panalo to kapag nilagyan mo ng wood hoops.

complete pa ba yung hardware? looks like sanded down na. sure i can help you with the restoration so i can sleep with that chunky baby.

Yes, complete yung hardware, pero may mga kalawang na. Wood hoops! Gusto ko nyan, for looks lang, because I'm sure I would not know the tonal difference between the 2.

Yes, it was sanded before. I foolishly brought it to my favorite 'guitar repairman' for repair. haha! Let's just say, it sucks.

there is a tonal difference from the old hoop to wood hoops. yung wood hoops kasi parang die cast hoop sa tigas, noticeable yung increase sa crack at magiging mas focused yung pop.  easier to tune din.

if stained, mas maraming wood yung naalis during sanding. not really a problem but it will make the outer diameter on both ends to be smaller and that will change the sound.

if you want to opt for a more budget friendly alternative, you could use lazer brand types. I use lazer types myself, same lang naman purpose kahit ano pa brand. Less than a hundred per piece -  got 10,12,14,16 sized rings for around 300+ overall.

matatanggal din yung pylox once tinono mo. masikip yung space in-between tension rods/screws.

mga bro help naman, meron kasi kaming Roland TD-5... yung module lang mismo meron kami, problema ko san nakakabili ng mga pad tapos me double trigger para sa snare merong tunog ng rim shot...

powdercoat na lang para makapit though di ko alam pano din gagawin yun ng expose part lang. kapag pylox kasi matatanggal din yun eventually.

kung multitrack OK naman yung setup. don't expect too much body even after tweaking the recording (unless naka trigger ka et al).

albeit the price or the material of the cymbal per se, ano ba yung sound na hanap mo? baka maliban sa wuhan, pwede kang magconsider ng stagg, silken or diril at most..

You can find Lazer, TMS, In Tune and Audiophile in Ali Mall Cubao and Lyric in Shopwise. AFAIK, On renovation pa ang Salonga ngayon.

bumigay yung lugs ng gretsch mo sir? may problema ba sa quality ng hardware ng gretsch drums especially their lugs? o sobrang tanda lang ng drums mo sir? nagiipon kase ako ng pera for upgrade e nagkataon na isa ang gretsch sa minaman manan ko kaso nung nabasa ko to parang nagdududa tuloy ako sa quality
