crystal: sparkle and clarity
metal: still clear and sparkly, but with a mid hump.

agree with master sushi here. can i add some also?

i was the last person to be scalarized yesterday :D. in hearing the two scalarizers. i tested my SZ on both. and these were my observation as my ear dictates on a clean tone (and may i add these adjectives on the scalarizer dictionary)

crystal - glassy tone
metal - woody tone

my verdict - metal on my SZ not because im a into heavy stuff but i prefer more wood tone on my guitar. plugging it into my own amp and playing it all over clean, we'll i can say, labas na labas yung tunog kahoy. to my ears, my ibby SZ somewhat dials to LP territory. on the dirty sound, wow! sweet wood tone plus enhanced sustain, balanced sound, and of course pleasing to my ears.

plus a bonus... there is a subtle chorus if you would listen to the sound more closely. in short very pleasing when you hear it.

i must say - this very fugly device in appearance will make your guitar sound good looking. looks can be deceptive but the tone leap is limitless.

thanks BAMF for your great contribution! isunod ko yung strat ko mamaya if time permits. nasira ko ata yung mga
projection mo on thick bodied guitars (HAHAHAHA!!!!) at pinuyat mo kami ng gitara ko. nagbonding kami (HAHAHA!!!)

OT - kayo po ata master sushi yung nakita ko kagabi sa may overpass (and your wearing a blue shirt?)
Not unto us, but to YOUR name give all honour.

grabe, kanina lang I tested my guitar w/ my modded Arion Disto,
and tried some funky riffs (and Laruku riffs as well)...

sa metalcore mode, nandun yung twang ng Tele,
pero nung crystal mode... freak, nakukuha ko yung twang ng Strat -- yung parang may quack! O_________O

evident lalo nung sina-slide ko yung strings... chaka palm muted. grabe, parang 2 set of pickups talaga!

ang sarap sa tainga ng metal core... nabuhay ang tunong ng middle pickup ko ramdam ko yung pagiging single coil nya and sa hum pickup di mushy.

Bamf and pschic sushi, got curious, what does the crystalmet look like? same tootsie roll in one?
Unless there's a third integrated version which I haven't seen, this involves wiring the two types together in parallel. Haven't tried it myself, but hope to do so this weekend.

yup, new switch for that.
bale yung slide switch [tama ba] na previously used sa LED switch ang ginamit, kasi 6 ang pins niya.
I think pwede kahit anong toggle basta 6 ang pins~
(correct me if I'm wrong)

pag nagpakabit ka, gagaling ka! sumampalataya ka!!!  :-D

just kidding, heheheheh

it really doesn't matter whether you are a joe strummer or a jazz hyperluminary. if you want your guitar to sound better, this is the way to go.

good tone inspires you. inspires you to listen with clearer ears, inspires you to play better and want to be better.

and more importantly, to make good music. it's all about music buddy

i think most guitarists fear putting "additives" in their guitars. hence, the preference for passive pick ups over actives by the majority. same with the aversion of putting a battery powered circuit inside! que horror!

but, the scalarizer being soooo unintrusive and so affordable, its accessible to everybody. except to the closed minded snoots.  hard for those folks to accept.

i like to think about it as the next evolutionary step. evolve or die, as the saying goes.

most firebrands do get bashed on the onset, like the thought of the solidbody guitar in the 50's. but things are accelerating...
