try to see and touch it personally; try to play it  and hear it; then ask how much it is. Then compare to other snares available. you'll most likely find the answer ;-)

anyway yung matinong sagot ay:

1- marketing. nobody pushes drum products better than jp.

2- timing. nung unang pinasok dito ang mga bp, medyo behind yung mga ibang distributors. at the time, onti lang ang mga ibang inooffer na snare drums na nasa upper tier quality-wise. ngayon andiyan na yung mga magagandang pearl at tama na snares, kaso medyo naunahan na sila e.

3- the product itself. MUCH better than the usual crop of snare drums na available locally dati, at a competitive price point pa. PLUS andaming choices - maple, steel, cherry, brass, walnut, 14", 13", 12", 10".

4- customer service. di lang nilabas ni jp yung product, sinuportahan din niya. lahat ng bumibili, o kahit nagiinquire, talagang tinututukan niya at ng team niya.

- plep, proud owner of a 13"x5.5" black panther brass snare drum

I agree with Plep but come to think of this.

Pinoydrums/Philmusic is just a small fraction of the Whole Market. When i was with JB Music working as Hired Gun for product consultantcy. I didn't look for Pinoydrums as the main market. Meaning hindi ako basta basta mag papasok ng product demanded by people here sa forum. Why? Liliit margin ko.

Based sa Sales kasi mas madaming taong bumibile na either Walk-in customers or Not a member of this forum. Isipin mo na lang, Si Carlos Barrabas eh nakakabenta ng TAMA Drums nya instanlly. Hindi sila taga Pinoydrums pero sila umuubos ng Products diba? Eto pa, When JJ Snares came w/c JB na nag distribute eh 40 Units na sold. Ilan ang merong JJ here sa Pinoydrums? 4? 5? 8? That's only for JJ snare eh how about The Mighty Omar Snare? 20 Units Sold out! Sino may Omar dito sa Pinoydrums? Ako? Eh galing pa kay JP to sa Yupangks eh.

What i'm trying to say is mahirap mag trending sa Pinoydrums.

About JP and the Mighty BP's.  They're selling like hot cakes!!
Why? not because sa looks, quality, or great sound, it's because you pinoydrums demanded it and the Undeniably great service from forerunner people. My only hope is they'll open stores sa Malls para yung mga taong hindi aware na may Mapex na sa pinas eh mag karon ng product awareness. .

Yun lang sorry haba eh. :mrgreen:

pa sali sa usapan mga sir im a proud owner kase ng mapex steel snare although hindi siya high end as a BP snare im considering the quality of thew snare it self.. masasabi ko din na magaling din si sir jp sa pag alalay sa mga possible customer from inqury to selling tlagang tinututukan nya kase ako sa totoo lang napaka dami kong ininquire na stuff about sa mapex ngayon lang talaga ako naka bili ng snare.. anyweiz ill give a 9/10 performance para sa forerunner music team hmm i give a 9 kase nobody is perfect always space for imporvement cheers! more power to forerunner!\m/

bro, siguro kaya mo gumawa ng snare na katuLad ng Lars Ulrich Signature Snare..

keLangan mo Lang ng diamond steeL pLate na pina-weLding ata  :-D tapos biLi ka die-cast kay sir wax_static , nakaLimutan ko na reaL name nya, pero nasabi yun sakin ni sir Gep, pati Lugs dun ka na rin kumuha....

yey!... i got my own snare... sa wakas... I just picked up from JB my 6.5 x 14 Gretsch Renown Maple with free Snare bag, medyo naka - sale nung nabili ko yesterday... so far super satisfied. Deep kick... probably i'll change the snare wires... pero di pa ngaun...

hindi kaya pwede dyan yung mga gibraltar tom mounts kasi parang adjustable ata ung mga slots non para sa lugs/rods...
