'Mortal Kombat X' Release Date, Game Details: 24 Playable Characters, Storyline Spoilers

'Mortal Kombat X' has officially been pegged with a release date, and fans are already lining up to pre-order a copy of their own. The NetherRealms Studio title is set to release on April 14, 2015 for Xbox 360, Xbox One PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC.

Beyond the rumors and speculation surrounding the game, the developers have actually released some information about the tenth installment to the 'Mortal Kombat' franchise.

First off, the game is both singleplayer as well as multiplayer. The developers made sure to balance out the characters so there wouldn't be any one choice constantly dominating the others.

Another aspect to look forward to is the difficultly levels in the game. While some players are more honed and experienced, others are not, therefore the level of difficulty can adjust according to what fits the player best.

On a side note, the developers made it a point to mention that the singleplayer will matter in the game, unlike some of the previous games in the franchise.

Stepping into the singleplayer, gamers can expect to see a lot of Scorpion and Sub-Zero, as they play major roles in the 'Mortal Kombat X' storyline.

Beyond that, reports claim that the game will have 24 playable characters, all with style variants and different costumes.

To name a few, Cassie Cage, D'Vorah, Ferra & Torr, Kano, Kotal Kahn, Goro, Quan Chi, Raiden will be playable characters in the game.

Since there is still plenty of time until the projected release date, gamers and MK fans should look out for more 'Mortal Kombat X' details from NetherRealm Studios.

^^3d na graphics ng Mortal Kombat ever since Mortal Kombat 4.

though MK X will be playing on a 2D plane just like the previous title (MK 9).

I'm currently liking the interactable environments and the violent X-ray moves. Mas gumanda rin yung animations and the gameplay is faster and fluid like Street Fighter, yet retaining the hard-hitting and clunky combat system American fighting games were known for.

Ok din yung risk na tine-take nila regards to the Kharacter Variations feature. Imagine a more rushdown Sub Zero against a zoner Scorpion. Or a rushdown Scorpion against a mix-up Raiden.

I'm also lovin' the fact that Ed Boon is going to the extremes when it comes to violence. Mortal Kombat is more Mortal Kombat than ever.
