Like i said...magic talaga yung idea ng impulse eh hahahaha!

Did you consider trying Amplitube 3 in replace for Guitar Rig 5? I have used guitar rig 5 before and found Amplitube somewhat better. I have yet to try BIAS though.

I had Amplitube before,I just prefer guitar Rig's interface, you can produce decent tones from both of em IMO. Been using BIAS on the ipad the sound is not gig worthy though,I have yet to try the BIAS desktop when I get home.

true, i remember dialing good tones in Guitar Rig...maybe i just found the user interface of Amplitube 3 better...idk. Its been a while since i used GR5...baka panahon na para ma-try ko sya ulet. hehehehe

I've been wanting to get BIAS for desktop, kaso kakabili ko lang nung Peavey ReValver 4, it looked promising eh, so i gave it a shot...i still have to try and dig in to them though.  >:D

Ryan Bruce aka Fluff and Keith Merrow suggested this book, so i got it and, daaaamn! panalo! This booked helped me reshape on how to go around things and made me put my perspective in the right place whenever i'm mixing and recording. Nice read to! i can't wait to apply and try new techniques.

you can get this book HERE

I like its simplicity at mabilis gamitin.
I just dont like the stock effects so I need to rely on VST plugins.

I also use ezdrummer 2

at wala pa akong nakita sa inyong nag share ng monitors.

I have a M-Audio AV30 for my bedroom.
Naka try ako ng audio technica ath-m50x. Sobrnag ganda!! Pinag iipunan ko na

I also want to share my PC specs. Cause I think important din for us bedroom players and for this thread.

i5 3470
team elite 8gb ram - thinking of upgrading to 16gb. Watcha think?
And soon to be upgrading to Samsung 850 evo SSD

Question:

Some guitar covers that I recorded using the setup above:

And some compositions/riffs that I wrote

https://soundcloud.com/blitzkriegbugz/sets/compositions-wip

and a song that I'm currently working on right now, some spacey stuff that I made. Doesn't have a drumtrack yet, just melody, riffs and basslines.

On computer specs naman po,  I think kahit di gaanong kalakas ang pc/laptop mo,  it will be more than ok for bedroom recording.  A decent gaming pc will be more than enough, even overkill imho.  Maliban nalang po siguro if you're planning to go pro,  then you need a dedicated and good audio card with firewire and stuff.

Wala pa akong monitors at the moment. Sennheiser HD202 tsaka Marshall Headphones. Pero i am eyeing KRK or Presonus.

As far as i can remember: Pentium 4 - 8gm RAM - Windows 7 (64 bit)

So far di pa sya nagloloko sakin. finished recording my 2 EPs with that PC.

Regarding sa question mo sir, why not use the monitor outs?

I remember my Zoom G2.1u...it served as my interface for a little while. Efficient setup!

Yep,  what I'm really going for now is a dedicated audio interface,  preferably with a USB connection.  I'm planning to go all analog on my board,  thing is,  di ko mapakawalan yung G3x for its amp sims and usb interface,  because I can't shell out funds for gear at the moment.  As soon as makascore ng matinong interface,  pwede ko ng pakawalan yung zoom then use amp sims  ng amplitube and/or guitar rig.

Ganyan din mismo naging path ko sir papuntang analog world hehehehe

if youre planning to use amp sims naman such as amplitube 3, better get audio interface and a DI box...solve na yun!

That's exactly my masterplan sir,  haha! Actually the only effects that I use on the g3x on gigs are modulations.  I use its expression pedal for volume swells and as a whammy sometimes.  That's it.  No fancy nancy.  So basically,  after I disposed it what I need to essentially put on my board are phaser,  delay and a volume pedal.  Then my humble setup will be complete.  That's all I need to play the songs that my band plays.

Sound quality wise the scarlet's outputs are well balanced and the frequencies will come out at the same level on both outputs.

I use Scarlett 2i2, GarageBand, EzDrummer2, EZKeys, Positive Grid BIAS for guitar and Bass tones.

I love the Ezdrummer Midi packs kasi I now have Matt Halpern as my drummer! Ang galing ng mga grooves and ideas!

Eto yung sample ng mga plug ins in one demo.

Because the 2i2 uses 1/4 trs plugs and the av 30 uses the old red white audio plugs as input.

Try niyo din Superlux HD681 EVO or Sony MDR-V6/7506, mas sulit and mas flat yung tunog kumpara sa ath-m50 in my opinion

thanks sa suggestion. Just searched about those.

I've been messing around with bedroom recording and music production too for the past few months.

Setup:
Interface: Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 (Was gonna get the 2i2 but the pad and the other extra features on the 2i4 were hard to pass up on. No regrets for $50 more.)

Mic: Audio Technica AT2035 (A foot or so away from the amp. I personally don't like the sound of closed mic'd amps pag solo guitar lang. Different story if it's for a full mix. An SM57 is on the wishlist.  :-D)

Headphone: Audio Technica ATH-M50 (These are amazing. Definitely worth the money.)

Monitors: JBL LSR305 (Got this recently. Arguably the best monitors in its price range. Stellar reviews anywhere you look.)

DAW: Reaper

OS and PC: Windows 7 on a lowly dual core PC with 8 gigs of ram. Works fine without a hitch so far.

I mess with Guitar Rig and Amplitube too a lot when i'm bored. Endless tweaking and tone hunting. Definitely has its place too.
