okay naman typecast.idol ko nga sila eh.kahit nung di pa cla sikat,di ko lam kung 2003 o 2002 un.haha.ayun.haha.dami lang nga may galit sakanila.

Share ko lang experience ko. There was a small band show here in zamboanga city last October 12, 2007 for our Fiesta. 3 Bands performed that night. 1st was mayonaise and pag akyat nila sa stage they just fooled around with the amps and its EQ pero when they start playing napawow ako sa tone nila. Ganda ng tone nila as in buo talaga. 2nd band was guess who? Typecast. Pagakyat nila, serioyoso talaga sila sa pag setup ng amp (same amp na gamit ng mayonaise) and I was really excited to hear them pero when they started playing, na turn off ako, basag tlga yung tone nila. As try and all you could hear is ssssshhhhh, walang edge tunog. I stayed for a couple of song and left. I came back after an hour now the 3rd band was playing which happens to be Greyhoundz using same amp as the 1st and 2nd band but their tone was great, buo talaga just like mayonaise. I'm not sure whats wrong that night pero hindi naman siguro ang problema amps cause 2 bands was able to produce great tone with those amps and sound system. All the amps used that night were Half Stack Tube Amps. I'm not sure lang what model but the amps were Marshall and Peavey.

mas importante siguro na makuha mo ung TUNOG NA GUSTO MO kesa ung tunog ng iba...although it can serve as reference for your own sound...porke ba naka sansamp sila eh bibili ka din ng ganun?

+10 sir kamote. hindi naman kelangan na bumili ka rin ng kagaya ng gamit nila or kopyahin tunog nila make your own tone. panu kung mabili mo nga yung kagaya ng gamit nila tapos magsawa ka sa tugtugan mo ngayon eh di GAS ka na naman ng bago. dapat yung bibilhin mo kelangan mo ba talaga and versatile ba sa ibang genre if ever na magpalit ka ng trip mong music. para worthy yung binili.

why not instead of emulating their tone, build your own tone based on what you heard that sounded great.

i think you can "copy" their tone with a decent guitar with humbuckers and probably almost any other good distortion pedal out there... it all boils down on how you fiddle with the EQ, gain and levels anyway.

im not a fan of emo but these guys are one of the tightest bands live in the philippines. I think their tone is in their fingertips. the guitarist used to use one of those starter zoom multi effects and they still sounded good. but lately he switched to a sansamp g2.

bale ganito ang gawin mo para makuha mo tone nila... magdala ka ng maraming chicks sa gig nila tapos sabihin mo kausapin nila typecast after the gig then takbo ka sa stage then kunin mo gears nila... sigurado ako saktong sakto mo tone nila...

huwag kalimutan ang notebook at ballpen para makopya yung exact settings ... at celfon cam para i picture mo yung buong board!

ok im watching typecast's myx live right now.

its probably the best live performance on myx EVER. the sound is awesome, the band is tight, and they came up with a great idea that myx never would have thought of - inviting fans to watch.

the guitarist is using a gibson SG. ang ganda ng tone nya! i'm very impressed! astig!

try these...

use mt-2 set the vol knob on wat lvl u want..

d 2nd upper knob to 11o'clock, 2nd lower knob fullbalast,

3rd upper knob 1o'clock, lower 3rd knob at full blast again,

the 4th knob is the dist lvl, put it in 3o'clock....

amp set up, low is 11o'clock mid full blast high 9o'clock.

there you go...

napanood ko sila kanina sa myx live, i'm not a fan of emo music pero kanina, natapos ko yung buong set ng songs nila sa episode na yun. their really tight. Walang butas yung tunog nila.
