i notice that there are some new components (word highlighting scripsts) on the forum that we're put in place. am i the only one noticing the degradation in performance?

Yeah, I'm testing out some new adcode (Contentlink). I notice it loads before every page, though it doesn't slow down things significantly on this end. I haven't committed it yet though.

Maybe if I pass the hat so people can help pay for the monthly web hosting of this site I wouldn't have to scrounge up bizarre money generating schemes, hehe

Thanks for the feedback - I finally took away that extra ad code. The performance impact was starting to get noticable. I'll pass the hat instead for donations

Hmmm, that's interesting. well we do test the template with IE5, IE6, and IE7 and Firefox 1.5 and 2 ... guess Opera tackles things oddly. I also log on through my phone on mobile browsers like Nokia's browser and Opera Mini, and it's ok naman. The stuff on the margins is mainly javascript that for some reason Opera doesn't handle properly. Also never tested this on Safari (mainly because I don't have a Mac.

I'm not sure how to fix that - maybe we should just put a sticker that says "not Opera compliant" ?

Tumaas ang message traffic kasi - naka- 90,000 page impressions/day yata kami nun. Dami yatang musikero ang stranded sa bahay at nag-iinternet.

happens to me too. after carefully typing and reading my reply, i hit the reply button and that is what happens...  so back na lang ako ang hope na ma post. sometimes i copy what i just typed and close firefox then open, then search for the thread and then reply by pasting. napansin ko rin na pag medyo mahaba ang na type ko na reply ganun din...

mahirap din mag palit na avatar. but i can live with that.

Hmmm... I think the timeout is an effort to reduce load on the server when there are so many online but not posting. I'm not sure but I think there's an option when you log in that says how long you stay logged - could be the reason for the automatic timeout.

Usually due to high server load. I get it too.  :|

Yeah, this also happens to me. I have no fast solution though. I've exhausted my brains. I'm still waiting for the higher powers (those who developed the software) to help me troubleshoot this problem. Hopefully they could help us out.
