Bro, just a few questions.

1) What diode did you use in your circuit (I used mine with 1n34A)? Have you tried using other types (e.g. BAT41, BAT46, etc.)?
2) Have you tried using other opamps? (e.g. JRC4558D)? If yes, is there a big difference in the tonal output?
3) Any mods you've done here so far?

Anyway, I just cloned one using madbean's circuit (sunking). Very dynamic type of overdrive it is.

I haven't tried other diodes, IIRC the specs of the diodes should be around 320-350. the closest on my set is around 340, my 1n34a is around 380, some other diodes are twice the specs.

I'll post pictures of my build later too. I just used ceramic caps on mine cause they were the ones available here. Will try to replace it soon with silver mica also. I installed mine with JRC4558 on IC1 and TL072CP on IC2. I ran out of TL072 kasi. On IC3 I used MAX1044CPA. I experimented using a 12V and a 9.1V zener. There seems to be no difference (or maybe it will give more headroom). Madbean advised to use the "SCPA" for IC3 cause there was a feedback before that it causes "squealing" on some of the forumers' build. Good thing mine didn't have any.

Anyway, care to show the push/pull button mod you've made on yours? I wonder how you did it.

- I bought a PCB instead of stripboard(veroboard) cause I think it's cheaper, Is it okay?

Mukhang pad-per-hole o perfboard yan. If so, no need to etch. Gamitin mo lang yung leads ng components as "traces". Parang ganito:

Okay lang kung kunti lang pyesa nya pero kung marami, masakit sa ulo yan lalong lalo pagdebugging kung sakaling nagkapoblema.

Research ka nalang ng tips sa pagetch. Para na rin matuto ka at magkaroon ka ng mabilis na style ng pagetch.

Ganito ginawa ko para di masyado complicated.Perf user talaga ako dahil ayaw ko din mag etch considering one build lang for myself.

I always use veroboard or perfboard sa builds ko

Parang wala akong pasensya sa ganito. There are some few that I've made through a perf pero when I learned etching, etching all the way na ako.

Kung one time build ka lang dre, mag pcb ka na lalo na pag maraming pyesa. Pwede ka mag preszensitized PCB mas madali sya IMO. Within minutes makakagawa ka ng board though mas mahal lang sya sa normal pcb  pero sulit naman eh

E-gizmo has 'em too. I suggest you try etching PCBs cuz it makes life easier. Just needs a dremel tool to smooth out the sides
