i'm into ww1 and ww2 stuff. mostly german ww2 militaria.

anyways, i'm into scale modeling also because of my fascination of military subjects. just wanna share a scale model that i built and painted of the german ww2 battleship "tirpitz". she's the sister ship to the more famous german ww2 battleship, the bismarck.

Mini Hobby Models 1/350 German WWII Battleship "Tirpitz"

ang mali lang talaga ng allied forces after the war dapat di nila hinayaan ang soviet union mag hari dapat lahat ng sinakop na bansa ng soviet union ibinalik nila  after the war. pagkatapos magpadala ng logistics ang us sa russia nung operation barbarossa the allied forces should have never dealt with a tyrant, thief like stalin that guy is a monster a butcher. she even killed her own wife and even attended her funeral.:-o

was the united states goverment or FDR aware of the atrocities committed by stalin in russia before world  war 2 started!?

^ i don't think uncle same wanted a war with ivan.  :-D

but they'd all come close to bombing the [gooey brown stuff] out of each other.

in ako dito sa thread - i'm deeply interested in world war history, especially the pacific theatre between the japs and murrikans

as far as collections go, i'm a plane kinda guy - up until recently i'd kept a collection of various nato and warsaw pact planes, i prefer those from the 50's-70's planes which i think are far more graceful in terms of design.

Sa ancient times naman, you might wanna watch "Battles BC" documentaty from History Channel. Isa sa series featured yung kay Moses in which historians regarded him as a military commander/tactician rather than a religious leader, and etc. etc.

could've been staged to protect the identity of the seals OR outright silenced. but i don't understand why they need to be silenced, pride ni Uncle Sam that her SEALS killed who's probably the most wanted man in history. they won't be of much use dead anyways.

dun sa chic naman sa CIA, well, if you a bitch then prolly the boss won't hand you a promotion.  :)

Great source of films in how the City of Manila was taken, my dad at that time was 18 years old and told the story that many civilians died in there scattered all over Manila. He even witnessed how a Japanese soldier was captured and beaten up and buried alive by angry civilians.

I found a website ( http://www.militaryhistoryonline.com/wwii/articles/macarthursfailures.aspx ) (http://www.pacificwar.org.au/Philippines/Philoverview.html)  on some interesting arguments why given the fact The Philippines was attacked 9 hrs later Pearl Harbor and caught off guard not because of they where unprepared but the indecisiveness of McArthur. They where informed of the attacked and given instructions but almost immobilized because of failure of decision from the top.

Warriors of the White War emerge from their frozen tomb:  Almost 100 years after losing their lives in ferocious First World War battle, melting ice reveals the bodies of the fallen

The mummified bodies of soldiers who fell in the First World War 100 years ago are still being uncovered as glaciers melt - and experts say there could be many more to come.

Corpses emerge every time there is a hot summer in Trentino, a rugged part of the Italian Alps where countless men were shot, starved or froze to death in a three-year campaign.

Whenever the gruesome finds appear, archaeologists must act within hours - because not only do the bodies decompose, they are also looted by opportunistic thieves.

'I don't deserve this': WWII veteran who refused the Purple Heart when he was the lone survivor after his B-17 went down in France finally accepts it 70 years on
Richard Faulkner was only 19-years-old when his plane went down over Nazi-controlled Germany
He parachuted into hostile land as the only survivor and was injured in a rough landing
Faulkner refused a Purple Heart because he couldn't cope with being the only member of the crew that lived

An 89-year-old World War II veteran who initially refused a Purple Heart medal finally received it Saturday in Upstate New York.

Richard Faulkner was only 19-years-old when his B-17 bomber went down in March 1944, he was the only survivor and was badly injured – but he refused the Purple Heart.

Faulkner decided to receive the medal now after regretting not doing so earlier,  he wanted to leave a legacy to his grandchildren.

German soldier's kindness denied Tommy war grave

A dying soldier's last wish for a photo he was found holding to be returned to his family was fulfilled by the German who killed him, as personal stories marking the centenary of World War One emerge.
Sergeant Percy Buck clutched the black and white photo of his wife Bertha and young son Cyril as he lay fatally wounded in a shell hole on the Western Front in 1917.
On the back, he had written his address and asked for whoever found the photo to post it to his loved ones in the event of his death.

meron naman tayo locally developed stuff, but not very much some examples would include the defiant piston engine trainer, and the humminbird helo... and imagine if completed and deployed, the sta barbara rocket project

here is the defiant 300...

and of course the hummingbird, developed in part by the late capt. panfilo villaruel

assembled kits from other countries were also done here - GkN Simbas are a prime example which is still in army use. the Temco Pinto trainer was also supposed to be assembled here, which would've made it the first assembled jet trainer here.

too bad walang kickback sa ganito that's why politicians prefer stuff to be brought in...
