being away too long i never realized that there was so much talks starting from my LU snare

...BMW 325 MSports are high end... :-D

First of all, i saved my money, sold alot of stuff just to buy something i dreamed of having

About the sound, actually i used alot of really good snares in the past (normally wood) but i sold em all na, but this is the loudest i have ever used
the St. Anger album was crappy to me, but i was able to tune it like that SAD BUT TRUE crack.

About the looks, astig eh, it really gives you that feel na METAL ka talaga pero non drummers who come to my house tell me it was made by SARAO jeepney co., ok sana kung mga Kenworth trucks e... ahihihi

to summarize, i am not a great drummer, but a great dreamer, like a drummer once said, you should look the way you play, in my opinion, iba pag rock / metal mga groove mo, astig din kit mo

i have nothing against standard kits, in fact i want to get one as well something like a porcaro or a bonham set up, pero diba panget naman yung feeeling pogi, gay drumming ka tapos dami mo cymbals and drums, tapos feeling mo ang cute mo na every girl is looking at you on stage, tapos naka monster kit ka,then again panget din naman sobra pagwawala mo and you are set up like ringo star :-D... but you know,,, i also play songs like YMCA ahahahhaa. can't say i am pure rock and metal i also lke other music. but metal rulz

bottom line is, i am happy, although with busted pockets... pero i am so happy with my snare.

BDW, Lars Ulrich for me is no Portnoy, pero he has got that magic na ang sarap nya panooring (Old Metallica i mean)but my true drum hero is Dave Lombardo!

astig na kit and kaya nya dalin, i am saving money to customize a kit which is in between a Metallica and a Slayer Kit, i am too busy already to be really playin regularly and following the curret music trends, i am already somewhat a collector and a hobbyist na lang, when the budget permits i will set up my studio just like the St Anger videos, and jam away with some other metal friends, my dreams of becoming a superstar drummer would never come true, kaya i am just building my own world wherein ako bida...atleast

But i respect everyone's opinion. to each his own diba :-D

God Bless you all

here is my snare again hehehe

Sir may I ask what batter head and also the reso did you use for that snare? Cause my cousin suspendead created one,  maybe you've seen it from the other post. Maybe I can ask him to post the most recent pics of it. I'm asking him to create one for me as well, thanks...

Pasali mga sir.

It's a brass, not a steel, piccolo. My dad had the shell powdercoated in a matte black finish, so the photo doesn't do it justice.
It sounds thin acoustically kasi nga piccolo. But under close miking, it can sound pretty intimidating and versatile. I once played a ballad with it, and the backbeats were pretty solid.

Oonga! iba talaga pag may personal touch.  Ngayon wala na akong snare kundi puro custom made lang.  Ayaw ko na sa mga mass produced/commercially available snares. Just my 2 cents though...
