Masters suggest naman po ng good quality cable na pang matalagan at kung maari panghabang buhay na pong gamitan..grounded kasi dalawa kong cables at nagbabalak ng kong magpalit ng bago yung pangmatagalan na po talaga..

i dont recommend Fender Cables at all... they are terrible, especially reliability wise.
as for me... i still havent found the right cables for me. id probably get some monster cables soon though.

jb music has planetwaves and surelock. these are good brands and pang matagalan. normally, the problem with a grounded cable are the jacks. sa kahuhugot mo napuputol connections inside. the advantage of surelock cables, the jack area problem is repairable. puede pang ihinang and we accept that service at jb music trinoma with a minimal service fee.try calling at 9166309/05 and we will discuss your problem. :oops:

Vovox is by far the best in clarity, definition and balance IMHO. AB'ed it with a couple of cables and this really stood up with flying colors. Havent got one yet but had tried out Ians(Poundcake). Cant wait! :-)

Kapag ginamit ko kasi yung guitar ko mamaya maya humihina yung volume niya..Di ko po siya hinihinaan and kapag tumagal nawawala na yung volume niya..tapos kapag nililipat ko yung toggle switch sa taas mahina yung volume...Masters saan po kaya ang sira nun sa cables po ba?thank u!!

ONCE YOU UNDERSTAND, COMPREHEND, HAVE MADE PROPER RESEARCH THEN,
2) Understand how cable length (and it's attendant electrcial, mechanical, sonic properties) will affect your sound;
3) Surf and compare various manufacturers' cables and their claims (get user ratings more importantly)
4) Never believe advertisements without the above 3 steps. . .

yeah! -1 for the fender california cables. I had one and wala pang isang linggo sira na. Putol ang wire sa loob ng jack. And medyo stiff ang cable nya.
Right now Im using cables that I bought from Jb music. Di ko alam tatak. Reliable naman kasi hanggang ngayon ayos pa. But I wana replace them. I'm gona assemble klotz cables and neutrik plugs. So far ok ang ginagawa kong patch cables using klotz and flat type plugs.

Had a Fender california cable for about 2 years til it ended up in the garbage bin. I use Planet Waves now but I've had one fail me as well, one of its compression springs on the cable end snapped while i was yanking it out of my tuner. Messed up the input jack real bad and eventually cost me a tuner. Buti di sa gitara nangyari. I assumed it was a lemon and I'm still convinced they make very good quality cables. I still use the Custom Pro cables and the pedalboard kit, they dont have those annoying compression springs and even come with a limited lifetime warranty. :) George L's are great for pedalboards too but a tad too flimsy as an instrument cable for me.
DO NOT USE MONSTER CABLES
A quick google search will explain why. Theyve been known to have issues on false advertising and overpricing (80% markup!). Theyre even known for suing every trademark that has "monster" in its name (even the movie Monsters Inc).

same here with boogsy....used a california cable for a while,then i bought planet waves cables (1 plain cable / 1 circuit breaker)...made my life easier when changing guitars...no more "noise"...i'd definitely recommend it...im getting very clear tones through these... 8-)

the Klotz La Grange is Audiophile's best kept secret. check this out:

and if you do your research, you'll find that the La Grange will be one of the most affordable of all the (locally available) cables mentioned in the articles.
based on my experience, it's my favorite cable for strats. on my LP, though, my Sommer Spirit wins because of even-ness on all pickup positions.
I believe it's 80 PHP a meter. :-D

I swore to these cables some few years ago but it seems they don't last a lifetime anymore...

as for Vovox cables, yeah. night and day diff. amazing cables. but cant justify it's cost just yet. probably in the future. as for patch cables. used planet waves and now using GL's plugs and .155 cables(guilty). was supposed to go monorails but it's twice the price of GL's. :mrgreen:

get the ones without the circuit breakers. they should last you around 5 years.

For me, the best is horizon studio cables. yung blue yung cord tapos white sa mga jacks. gold ung hardware. mine lasted 9 years and buhay pa rin hanggang ngayon. pro la na akong makita sa JB eh.

mas clear tunog nung 80/meter klotz cable sa audiophile kesa jan 110/meter how did i know nag A/B kami ng serveral cables 80/m cable, 110/m cable both have neutriks plugs, dimarzio cable, george l's and several others... george l's kicks ass abit expenssive pro malaki yung difference sa clarify and response. go george ls kung gagastos karin lang....compare lang to sa locally available satin havent tried monster and vovox cables yet sana mag karoon dito satin....

sometimes audiophile charges a "service fee" of 50php. pero depende naman siguro sa branch yun. i'm not sure if that is standard practice. kasi wala yun sa resibo eh.

ive always used raon cable and i always have to fix them...student pa ako nun
pero now may work na ako, pwede na siguro ako bumili ng guitar cable na gusto ko.

ang gamit ko ngayon ay yung Samson Audio Tourtek.. from audiophile din.. better than the DIY klotz with neutriks in my opinion.. halos 500php lang ang 10ft niya.. straight yung isang side, angled yung kabila.. both neutrik ends din.. halos 1 year na sakin.. i play guitar everyday.. gamit ko yun sa bahay, sa church.. never had any problems.. pero pag nasira, i might try Dimarzio cables.. maganda rin daw yun eh.. :-)

Gumawa ako ng cable... neutrik plugs tapos ung surelock cable instrument ng jb music. 37 pesos/ meter.
surelock cable parang mogami ung loob. spiral ung shielding and ung core niya dalawa ung rubber( im not sure if its is rubber)
big improvement.. since ive been using mic cables.

I have two Klotz La Grange cables - one with Amphenols and the other with Neutriks. I put them together myself and they're pretty good. But I always think twice about abusing them. And that brings me to what I'm really liking right now - my Wilde cables. They're the reason why I pay no attention to people who keep saying solderless cables are unreliable. I just ordered a bundle for my pedalboard. I'll finally be able to do an all-Wilde 4CM setup soon.

Sadly, no. Sa Yupangco/Perfect Pitch na ang Klotz ngayon. Kung meron pa sa Audiophile, they may be good until supplies last nalang.

planet waves, ayos siya, medyo stiff lang siya ng konti pero nonetheless solid cable. been using circuit breaker and custom series cable for awhile, produces very clear tones, well for me :)

George L's has lasted me for some years. Recently got Lavas. Mukhang ok naman nag build. Sturdier than GL's :-) wanna try the Sommer or Soar next..

ah ganun po ba. thank you po sa reply sir. ano po bang marerecommend nyong guitar cable na medyo mura lang pero ayos naman ang quality kahit papano? gamit ko kasing cable ngayon yung cheap lang na nabibili sa gilid gilid hehe. newb lang po :)

well, i'm using fender vintage cable from guitar to effects and fender california cable from effects to amp.. ok naman sya sakin.. di pa naman ako nakakaexperience ng bad results.. vintage cables are around 900 and california cables are around 600..
good sya para sakin kasi di naman ako nag gigig.. pero i plan on changing them to a better one when i have enough funds :-D

A DIY'd Klotz La Grange cable would be great! If you want a ready-made cable you better check out Samsaon Audio Tourtek cables. They're great cables yet not so pricey. I think parang 600php for a 12ft (?) cable. Or better yet, a Dimarzio braided cable for around twice as much, nasa 1,200 yata ang 12 or 15ft, can't remember exactly. Both cables as bang for the buck as per my experience with them. Audiophile carries them both, too.

It's a cable with an active circuit that dramatically reduces capacitance. Kung sa normal na cable regular capacitance na yung di bababa sa 400pF for 20ft., yung Zerocap na 30ft. 25.7pF lang yung rehistro.

I used a Fender California Cables - pag harabas lang, tone is pretty dull so I won't recommend it. BUT it is surprisingly good on keyboards.
I have two VOX Class A Cables (as if hindi ako magkakaroon nito - VOX E!) - pretty good sounding and sturdy - mediyo duda lang ako sa plugs bacause it is made of molded plastic. Wait and see.
Klotz LaGrange - without a doubt excellent value for money. Thank God I was able to get some before the distribution was transferred to Yupangco. Now it costs P2,500 for a 6 meter La Grange (samantalang P660 + P300 for Neutrik cable dati...tsk tsk tsk)
Dun sa talagang nagtitipid...Nobelle cables with Neutrik plugs. Kaysa sa Fender California Cables - mas ok to. Maganda lang sa mata yung Fender kasi colorful pero as I mentioned nga, the tone is dull.

This is interesting.. Baguio is way too scarce in resources like these.. Saan puwede makabili nito? And is there anyone here in philmusic who's making DIY cables for sale, which uses the materials stated above?
