finger drummers
« on: July 04, 2008, 01:25:30 PM »

finger drumming is very different and i admit david haynes is a god

so, are there any other finger drummers in the haus?

Since last year, I've been thinking about tinkering with these finger pads.  But I feel like I can't devote yet some time on exploring electronics, so maybe next year na lang.  Though tempting na rin, kasi madalas nagse-sale ang M-Audio products sa JB, at malaki ang discount sa M-Audio Trigger Finger (from 16K to around 11K!).

For me, finger coordination is more of a challenge than limb coordination, which is more natural for me being a drummer.  But using these finger pads as a musical instrument looks and sounds fun and interesting, and it can have certain musical applications, such as triggering a sequenced track.  This can be useful with my band's style of music.

Andaming finger pad-related videos sa YouTube.  We can check out those YouTube videos for playing and application ideas.

wow! nice gear! does that let you connect to your pc and record on a midi or any format?  one of the things I want to do with that type of device is to be able to capture the moment na makaisip ka ng cool na pattern then straight to the computer.  the size of that thing looks pretty good for an office setting unlike a keyboard.

yeah i played this online game before. it takes your rhythm to a whole new level. halimaw ang mga expert dito. hindi lang finger coordination pero hand and eye coordination ang kelangan.
