Crescendo is Selling Epi/Gibsons (original w/ cert)

Kahapon dumadaan ako sa SM fairview nang nakita ko ung Crescendo na nagtitinda ng mga Original Epiphones at madami sila. Tinanong ko ung salesman, meron daw sila certificate galing sa Epi, at sa January daw dadating na ung mga Gibsons nila.

uu nga, mejo parang pinaghalo nga sila na lazer at JB.
meron din silang fake na behringer guitars ata doon tapo puro fernando na.
mostly ang binebenta nila is mga casio privia at celviano b yun.
meron nga silang mga kustom amps at pearl drums. pero marami din silang mga original na items doon na di mo makikita sa jb at lazer.

i think heto lang tlga hinihintay nila kaya hndi sila masiado nagbebenta ng mga gitara...
nung dumaan ako kahapon nakita ko mga 5 or 6 epiphones ang nakadisplay. tapos nung kausap ko ung salesman sabi nia sakin sila lang daw ang merong certificate na magbenta ng epiphones/gibsons sa sm fairview (as far as i know ung lazer nagbebenta din ng original epis kaso konti lang at di ko lam kung meron cert).

yeah, i was told exactly about this by a friend just this morning (re: Crescendo store). gibbys and epis huh....  hmmm interesting, especially the gibbys. remains to be seen. i'll follow this one.

I saw those epi's at Crescendo SM Fairview. Seems legit.

then they showed me their "certification", uhm, it was a photocopied piece of paper with a Gibson logo on top and a paragraph stating that a certain distribution company  ( I couldn't remember the name of the company) is a legit distributor of epi's and gibson. Signed by the president of gibson.

I think certification as legit distributor should be displayed for every one to see (they kept theirs in a folder under the counter). And it should look something like a diploma or something. 

They only showed it to me because I said I thought Lazer was a legit dealer as well. Then I ask them how to determine a fake epi, they said to look it up on the internet. lol.

Ibig sabihin sir hindi sila official distributor? yung papel na pinapakita nila e copy lang ng official distributor talaga, kse hindi nila name yung nkalagay dun kaya siguro nila tinatago. tsaka alam ko meron din sila mga peke na gibson and epis.

i've also seen this on SM Calamba, ilang meters lang ang distance ng store nila from Lazer, and may mga Epi's sila na dot inlays, yummy

Just want to share.  I am a very close friend of one of the Yupangco siblings.  I ask him regarding distributing Gibsons in their stores and his reply to me and I quote:

      "Ang daming arte ng Gibson.  Kung gusto mo maging distributor ng Gibson, wala kang dapat ibang binebenta kundi Gibson lang."

Ayun kaya hindi na nila pinursigeng maging distributor ng Gibson.  Maraming brand ng gitara ang mawawala sa kanila and at the same time mahal daw ang Gibson.  Liliit daw ang market nila sa Gibson.

Magkaiba kasi yung "nag carry" sa "mag cacarry".
Anyway.. until we see some Fibsons in their store, hindi rin natin malalaman.. Nauna na kaya dumating yung certificate of authenticity ng Gibson bago sa mga stocks???

distributors and resellers are different. resellers get supplies from distributors, wholesale.  they (reseller) normally dont have certificates. you can get free jackets,  free t-shirts , posters, stickers, etc etc,  dati i got free t shirts pinamigay ko na, next order ko ill have a free chair with gibson logo

and yes mahirap mag-commit sa gibson according to my friend. But you can always resell. good luck sa gibson/cresecendo, the new ones are ridiculously overpriced

I saw these Epis. Maganda yung mga SG na naka display kaso parang may inconsistencies like: hindi pantay na pagkacarve ng kahoy sa neck joint, gasgasin yung paint (not sure kung libag lang yun ng mga nagtetest), and parang magaan.
So... hindi ako sure kung orig.
