hmmm....a good drumthrone should be very stable, comfortable.  ndi dapat magwi-wiggle kahit anong likot mo sa lugar upo.

siguro dapat yung hardware nya dapat talagang makapal. pagdating sa seat, for me, ayoko ng sobrang lambot kasi tendency ndi stable yung upo, lalo na pag nagraise ka ng left and/or right thigh mo.

i'm not sure about the brand.

good luck with your search bro!

maganda yung pearl D1000SC Roadster na drum throne yung me shock absorber. meron sa JB P5,200 the last time I checked

check mo din 9608 ng gibraltar. nakabili ako a few months back around that price din. maganda review nito sa modern drummer article tunkol sa mga thrones

Ok din yung mapex...not sure of the model pero P3K yung price.

Unsual drumthrones?
« Reply #31 on: February 13, 2008, 01:50:22 PM »
drumthrones are very important in a drummers playing. it anchors the drummer in place and support his overall position.

this is thread  is to promote how important it is to have a good throne.

i have a very unusual brand of drumthrone.

it's an Orocan "drumthrone". it serves as my seat/throne when i play drums and it serves as the family's rice dispenser. san ka pa? :-D

masakit sya sa ass-cheeks. and very narrow at matigas ang actual seat. kasi nga plastic. tuloy pag tapos ng ilang minutong praktis, butt cramps ang inabot ko.

btw, i've seen a drummer use an ash tray bin.

i'm sure there are drummers here who had the same experience. care to share?

I'm using a speaker kabinet as my throne... pero sakto lang yung height nya for me...hehe but of course iba pa rin yung totoong drumthrone and malaking factor talaga sya sa drumming...Plan ko din mag Mapex...hehehe cheers!!! :-D
