yeah... hmmm maybe kelangan ng active pickups or other stuffs...

I think it varies on the string space from the nut to the pole of the tuning peg. I have a friend who do this on his G string but Tom Morello does it on A string  I think depende talaga. If your guitar is blessed with such then your lucky 

What I do is I do harmonics on the 3rd fret of G string... sounds the same hehehe
