Recording Bass through a Line6 guitar POD....
« on: July 20, 2009, 10:23:12 PM »
is it possible to use the line6 Floor POD series (say an XT or a Floor POD Plus) to record bass? I was wondering it if it possible to use it only as an I/O port and use the post processing of the other AUs I have installed...

Or do I need to get another I/O so that I can record bass tracks?

any help is greatly appreciated since im a total noob to this usb recording thingies :)

thank you!

Yes. With the Bass PODxt, there are two types of output: The "d.i." (or dry) or the "model" (or wet). Use the "d.i." as your output then plug it straight to the soundcard. On your DAW, dry signals will be recorded and from there, process it with your desired AU.
