Peavey PVXp 15 Active Speakers
« on: November 29, 2014, 05:08:34 PM »
Mga sir and sis,

May nakagamit na ba nito? I'm buying a Samson Auro D415 but they're out of stock at Audiophile and I was offered this.

I plan to use it mainly for vocals, but future for sound mixes on open (basketball court size) and closed venues small clubs. I might also use this as main speakers for the mic'd instruments in a band.

Price is not too far from Auro D415 and I've seen all great reviews online.

Anybody who's had the chance to use these?

i chanced upon this peavey pvxp during a peavey seminar a couple months back held at the otis branch.

i consider this model as a 'medium-end' comparable with the mackie and qsc and not with samson auro.

Sir Jef2. Thanks. So parang kalevel sya ng Behringer B115 in terms of quality?

Would you recommend that I wait for the Auro D415 instead of buying this? In terms of price, mas mura ang Auro D415 kesa sa Peavey PVXp 15 (konti lang naman ang diperensya).

i would give the peavey a level higher than the samson and behringer when it comes to the 'brand name'.  in terms of power, i would say the three are just even.

A so almost same lang din pala. Parehas din ba quality?

Thanks for the feedback sir!

I have a habit of testing and testing before I buy... Ive tested both pvxp15, auro 415, samson 115d, even eon 615s... Of those I've tested, the pvxp emergted as the winner. Its clean sounding (like the jbl), but compared to the eon, the pxvp sounds fuller. No contest sa auro 415 and 115d. Samson speakers tends to be biased on the high frequencies which makes it sound harsh and medyo tunog lata.

Peavey PVXP 15 is 400watts rms. So if you have 1 pair thats 800watts rms pwede for basketball court 200 pax. Only drawback is the bulkiness. But the bulk made the difference sa sound.

Yep. A/B it with jbl eon 615, and its as clean as jbl pero mas matigas at buo tunog ng pvxp.

Rounded off 40k, i think audiophile only sells by pair. Hindi sya bagay i pair sa b3, mo kasi first its a 15" compared sa 12" so iba na. At the same time is it as clean sounding? And wattage also will affect them.

Basta PVXP it's powered. Yes pwede naman sya pang outdoor. Matibay ang Peavey. Any sub pwede. Basta same wattage yung sub or higher. Dont get a lower wattage sub.

Or pwede ding lahat ay FOH.

Thats a very good battle plan hehehe.

I have talked to Peavey US about the inputs at the back. The XLR is for high impedance mic while the TRS is for Line input. Though combo jack sya iba pala ang input value. You would easily clip the speakers if you use the XLR input.

In case mga bro you want to improve the sound quality of the hi frequency
please replace the rx14 to rx22, p audio na diroskas.bmd atsa pwede or tnt sa raon, greatly improve the mid hi freq nyan.tried them and lumabas pa boses nya.test nyo din
remove screws at the back, pull the amp module with metal case.be careful lng mahigpit ung metal casing.ayan na open at all are socket type lock parang kotse.hehehe
press muna terminal kasi nkalock and may damage when pulling the wires of hi freq.counterclockwise lng po.replace clockwise then ok na.
