Help tele question (copied my post)

So I have this really old tele that I want to mod. I want to "Esquire" it, but I still want to have a 2 pickup configuration.

After doing some research I found out that I can install a pickup under the pickguard. The problem is, since the neck pickup far from the strings, the sounds gets muddy. There is a solution though, people that did the same mod used higher output pickups (p90's and HB's) in the neck position so the neck and the bridge are balanced.

My problem is since this guitar is really old I want to do no drilling and as much as possible no carving in the cavity.

Then I remembered that Artec has a single coil sized humbucker pickups which I really liked before. I used to have a couple of them before.

My question is, will the artec pickup give enough "juice" to balance the sound? Even if it's under the pickguard.

I really need help. Thank you in advance. I will post pics here when the project is done.

experience ko sa artec pickups paps is that you have to raise it high, near the strings to get a high output. I think mas safe bet kung derecho SD ka or dimarzio. but then again, artec is dirt cheap so it wouldn't hurt to try

secondhand paps makascore ka siguro ng SD at Dimarzio ng mga 2-3k depending sa model. artec goes for 1-1.5k.

Really 1.5k na ang artec? Haha dati 500 lang bili ko. Kung ganun ang price niya mag dimarzio na lang ako. Ano kaya ang model na powerful enough under the pickguard?

I have a Vox Valvetronix VT20+ amplifier. From the specs I read online it's a 20 watt solid state amp with 12AX7 vacuum tube. Recently I noticed that when I turn it on LEDs would immediately light up indicating na bukas na pero it takes about 3-5 seconds bago tumunog. Bale gradually lalakas siya hanggang sa maging normal na (3-5 seconds span). Medyo napraning lang ako kasi di ko maalala kung ganun ba talaga siya before.

Anyway my question is.. normal ba yun or sign na ba na dapat nang palitan yung vacuum tube? Also paano ba malalaman kung dapat na palitan ang tube ng amp? TIA sa sasagot hehe

meron ako dating valvetronix amp pero di mo maalala kung may delay nga o wala  sa tunog kapag i-turn on.

pero kung pure tube amp, meron talagang delay sa pagtunog.

Hi sir. I am no expert, but I think normal lang yan. I had a Marshall Valvestate before (tube pre amp - SS PA) and ganyan din. If I remember correctly you really have to give time for the tubes to heat up. If hindi uminit sa tamang level yan, dapat wala kang output na sound sa amp mo.

Marami signs na dapat palitan mo na ang tubes mo. In my case nagpalit ako ng tube dati kasi may squeal na ako na naririning.

i had an ad30vt before and dapat tutunog agad yun. the tube rarely wears out pero try mo palitan.
