Is this really helpful without the defining piece of information? So far it's just breeding rumors, suspicion and bad vibes.

Thanks for the pm, I knew it.. he's quite reputable so even if he was more expensive, I took the job to him when I needed some stuff done on my lp. Later, he texts me sayin that there's something wrong with the switch and that he'd need extra to fix it. It was weird coz I never noticed that problem, so I told him it was alright and to just leave it. He kept saying that I should and that I'll eventually come back to him to fix it, but I persisted and was firm on checkin it out myself first. In the end, he said he already did it, and since he was quite reputable and stuff, decided there must've been a problem.

Now I have my doubts.

A luthier (pronounced /ˈljuːti.ər/) is someone who makes or repairs stringed instruments.

Since were on the topic, there's a pretty dominant luthier out there thats annoyingly cocky and sarcastic. I never even wanna try his work. Plus he overprices like crazy.
