Were all lucky we are all able to witness the transition of Video games. I remember it so well like it was just yesterday.
During my younger days, if your household owns a Family Computer, all your friends will be at your house. If you own a gameboy (dot matrix), sikat ka sa street nyo. And then SNES swept the streets, power rangers all the way! Then Sega released their megadrive, Mortal Kombat all night long! And many more. I remember before that we really enjoyed these video games despite the fact that the graphics are not even 1/4 of the recent graphics we have recently on our consoles. And there were fewer buttons during these times.
And then Playstation came along, boy it was the dawn of a new kind of gaming, graphics was more defined and realistic. I remember when I was in my 5th grade, your a loser if you dont own one, so I cried to my parents to buy me a Playstation. (together with dual shock and gameshark) Damn, it really dumped my old consoles to the junkyard. Even though theere were more buttons to sink our fingers in, it really gave me a good experience on gaming.
And then other companies like Nintendo, Microsoft, introduced their consoles that projected more detail to graphics. Graphics was the trend then.
And then, Nintendo introduced WII, the trend changed. It was more on real time gaming rather than the gamepad style we got used to. But WHO CARES! As long as we can enjoy and finish the games, we can get along with our gaming consoles. Diba?
I must say, gaming has really changed really quick, the pace is too fast but we still enjoy them. I guess people who were born during the late 80's are lucky that we are able to experiemce that transition. Don't you think?
