Guys can you give me short list of good distortion pedals claiming they are "marshall sounding"? Just want to have a list so I can check reviews for my next purchase.. Can't access gearpage here Please don't keep replying SH and crunchbox haha, already on the list for research. Not really into an specific "marshall amp sound" just want to get into that territory. Not into metal btw.

ibang level yung DLS MKIII. yun na yun. wala ng ibang hahanapin. od nalang siguro pang solo. pero sobrang solid talaga. tagal ko na nagagas jan. hahaha

yes si pedal peddler. pag naka bili ako nun, wala nang bentahan yun most prob. yung brit mod ko nga dati muntik ko na hindi ibenta, kaso sobrang ganda nung deal para sa SH kaya pinalitan ko narin hahaha same sound lang naman kung tutuusin.

Catalinbread DLS MKIII vs Wampler Plexidrvie/Plextortion:
Though I'd be bias here when I say Catalinbread wins all the way,you might want to believe me when you hear for yourself, You'll have a very amp-like saturation,dynamic gain stages and two sweet voicing and real-est amp tone in a box,high headroom with an 18v juice,but you almost have everything at 9v. Wampler's Plexidrive/Plextortion might be tactile at some gain level,crunch tones are "Plexi" like nonetheless,but things gets muddy with the bass boost and does not meld well with a lot of drives like how catalinbread does.

Menatone The King vs Fulltone OCD
These two are distortion pedals made to emulate certain amps drive stages but with some identity crisis, this could be fine if you're just seeking out vintage tones reminiscent of an era defined by "MARSHALL" because they have it in them that you only need to search for it. Fulltone OCD compliments your rig well but the tone you'll get is screaming "Jack of all trades,master of none" and "Bitin" at some point maling-mali yung advertisement nila regarding the OCD,the menatone on the other hand is a different kind of beast with the on-board EQ you can dial in some sweet stuff with this one and it as responsive to touch as the one's pimps call as "Sariwa".

Menatone The King is cheaper(But take note B'new needs some 1-2 weeks build time)

I tried these out sa JB dati, yung mga version 2, the Jack Hammer was surprisingly good for high gain, pero yung overdrive mode lang. masyado late 90s multi fx yung dating nung distortino channel sakin. It does need a good amp though. I found the Guvnor 2 muddy, the low end was nice but at the expense of clarity. The Bluesbreaker II was horrible. tunog digital na ewan. among those three I'd actually buy a jackhammer, but it's a one trick pony.

samethoughts. in all honesty, wala na akong maipintas kay DLS. siguro kung gumawa sila ng DLS with boost for solos, champion yun. go to marshall pedal.

pero yun nga, i tried most marshall sounding pedals, pero DLS talaga yung napapangiwi ka sa sarap ng tunog.

between the two medyo hirap na ko,sobrang daming sweet spots nang DLS at nang King na hindi mo pwedeng i-dismiss yung isa na mas maganda sa isa,parang pinapili mo ko between Audrey Hepburn at Elizabeth Taylor.

Like the Rat perhaps or the boss distortion (I tried a friend's boss pedal and I don't like it)? Pero may Rat na ako dati, gusto ko yung character (for lack of a better word) pero minsan medyo manipis eh. Sorry hindi ako magaling magdescribe ng sound

And btw I have a blues pro, the v2 I think.

Boss MD-2! Never owned one but always loved the sound. ma-bottom end yun pang nu-metal stuff and other hard rock genres in that era. I don't know what it sounds like through a clean amp, but I suppose it gets better when the amp gain starts helping it out. Yung DS-1 medyo may kulang nga, yung Rat di ko lang talaga trip

the SBP is so versatile,I just find its gain setting too low for my taste. Why not check some hybrid fuzz pedals?

@sir nikko, I think kinukulang ka sa SBP kasi marketed siya as overdrive, not really "distortion" (I think SCB yung flahship distortion pedal nila). Although yes mataas ang gain na naaabot ng blues pro ko (not SBP) compared to some "overdrive" pedals like the bad monkey which for me is a very low gain od. That's why I sold mine and bought the bluespro.

That's why I sold mine and bought the bluespro.

personal lang to ah, no offense sa RAT or RAT owners, pero tunog diesel tambutso talaga eh  or literally parang may tinrap ka na daga sa gitna ng speaker cone at grill ng cab mo  definitely it has its place in the mix, pero personally  mas gusto ko yung cheesy distortion tone, yung unnaturally smooth almost digital parang DS-1 into an overdriven amp o kaya yung MD-2
