hi guys!

I tried to learn how to play the guitar but wasn't able to continue because of some factors...

I wanted to start from scratch so I have some questions:

1. electric or acoustic to start with?
2. what brand of guitar, ie lumanog or ibanez?
3. what song?
4. will online study work or hire someone (for free

)

- either, pero maadvice ko na magsimula sa acoustic guitar

2. what brand of guitar, ie lumanog or ibanez?
- depende sa budget

3. what song?
- start with songs na gusto mong aralin na may simple na strumming at plucking and simple chord changes para madevelop yung synchronization ng left and right hand mo at dexterity ng fingers

4. will online study work or hire someone (for free

)
- depende talaga, either sa dalawa ok para sa akin. ok din na matuto on your own

I would more often than not recommend a guitar teacher. Beginners tend to develop bad habits that may lead to carpal tunnel syndrome or RSI if not corrected early.

1.kumuha ng kahit anong gitara na komportable ka gamitin
2. magsubscribe sa kahit anong guitar tutorial related youtube channel!
3. rock the F out your guitar

Share ko lang:

I start learning and playing guitar with an old, beat up Yamaha classical guitar (nylon strings: Ouch!), a great way to prep up your "virgin" hands as you further progress with guitar playing.

Since lumaki ako during the 90's hindi ako nahirapan pumili ng mga songs na aaralin. Sobrang nagsawa ako sa mga kanta ng EHeads!

I only have songhits and fellow guitar playing friends to help me learn, FM radio and casette tapes as well. Wala pang internet eh.

Those were the days.. Hihi!

Start with an entry level acoustic guitar. Yung pang rhythm dapat

and be resourceful.

Start ka nalang sa Acoustic, para kahit brown out kering-keri. Tugtog ka lang kahit anung kantang gusto mong pag-aralan, self study lang habang wala pang nag tuturo.

wow.. salamat po sa info.. so i think, hanap muna guitar

ung guitar ko dati, acoustic lang.. pero matigas yung strings kaya nahirapan din ako.. ung intro lang ng noypi ang natutunan ko i-pluck ahaha

Ill stick with the reasonably priced acoustic, around 3-5k, reason is the intial investment isnt that intimidating, you can sell it if you didnt like the hobby, the loss of value not that high, if you purchase a expensive one, you are definitely selling at a much bigger loss, i see guitars here that are selling half the price, some with 20k lost in value, rfs: hobby is not for me.

long story ahaha college days ako nag-start mag-aral magitara sa province..wala masyado time due to projects and stuff..then dito ako nagka-work sa manila and I wasn't able to bring my guitar..binigay ko na lang sa bro ko kasi la na rin naman ako time.. na-inspire na lang ulit ako mag-aral recently because......

hmmm.,
huwag ka muna lalampas sa 6K., baka biglang bumaba ang "inspire" level mo.
go for acoustic guitar., then, practice strumming while singing.

Great tips from the good guys of GC! I'd just like to add, it's also good to know and to have someone who knows the things you want to learn. Not really in the teacher-student level but rather someone who can show you how to play songs you want to learn. YouTube can be an alternative though. Good luck and have fun!

Seriously? Ibanez can be compared to lumanog? Ganun ba kababa tingin mo sa ibanez?

ung local guitar na alam ko pala is lumanog.. ung iba: jackson, ibanez, fender, les paul.. pls correct me if i'm wrong.. you can also list the guitar brands here para naman po ma-enlighten ako..
