The AMP JAZZ BIG BAND (Asosasyon ng Musikong Pilipino) Headed by Mel Villena. Check them out at Facebook :) The group is composed of veteran musicians such as Mel Villena, Ronnie Marqueses, Joey Quirino, Jun Austria, Simon Tan and many more. Sobrang husay nila hehe

Yup, and I second this. You forgot to mention Tots Tolentino, one of the best sax player in the country today. Here is a sample of one of their most recent performance at Skarlet Jazz Kitchen.

bakit parang may mga nagagalit dito? dahil ba sa wala naman talaga ako, sila, kami kung ano ang jazz? wag kayo magalit kasi mga opinyon lang to kung sobrang mali yung mga sinasabi namin sana sabihin nyo ng ayos o yung in a friendly manner naman para matuto din kami o malaman ang tama.

ulitin ko yung sagot ko dito : sinosikat? http://www.sinosikat.com/home.html di naman sobrang sikat to pero kilala ng iba. yung bambo may mga kanta na parang tunog jazz katulad ng much has been said at so far away  :mrgreen:

parang hindi. medyo limited lang alam ko sa jazz, in fact 2 album lang meron ako na pinoy, johnny alegre at wdouji, parang malayo yun sa mga songs ng bamboo.

wala naman nagagalit sayo, friendly yang mga yan. tsaka pagdating sa jazz makinig ka sa mga senyor natin. at makinig ng wdouji  :-D

sige sige makikinig ako hehe  :mrgreen: ahh di naman ako yung nagsabi talaga nung bamboo dito pero nagreply ako nung may nagtanong na really? jazz fusion ata tong bamboo kaya hindi talaga totally jazz. *yun ang alam ko haha

ok PEACE kuya.. kung sa tingin nyo hindi included ang bamboo, fine po... my BAD... he he he he he anyway thanks atleast may natutunan ako inspite of the criticism kasi mali naman talaga ako.. thanks po sa INFO...  :lol:

IMO hindi jazz ang bamboo pero ung mga riffs and grooves nila may jazz elements.
